Great Ways to Encourage Imagination During Playtime
(StatePoint) There’s no better time than playtime to encourage an active imagination. Here are a few ways to bring more inventiveness into the fun.
Introduce Toys
Look for toys that allow kids to imagine themselves in new roles and scenarios. For example, little ones can transform into super-duper, fixer-uppers with the Drill & Learn Toolbox Pro from VTech. Featuring a toolbox, tool belt, hammer, wrench, plastic nails, screws and a working toy drill, along with realistic tool sounds, songs and information about how the tools are used, little DIYers will have all the basics for pretend home repair.
For kids who may have watched older siblings and friends get their game on, another fun toy is the Level Up Gaming Chair. This preschool game station features a swivel chair, joystick and pretend headphones, and a real interactive gaming tablet that teaches letters, numbers, animals and music with gaming sound effects. With no Wi-Fi needed, you can turn game time into learning time safely and without worries, while giving young kids an opportunity to feel like big kid gamers.
The Pop & Spin Mower features an engine that rumbles, a sparkly, pretend blade that spins and popping beads that mimic grass clippings. Little gardeners will enjoy pushing this lean, green mowing machine, and those not quite ready to walk can sit and spin the roller or press the light-up buttons to explore gardening themes and colors. While this is a great way to play pretend, the toy also teaches lawn mower safety to help keep kids safe around the real thing
Use Creative Prompts
Art is one of the best avenues for the imagination to run free. And when it comes to different forms of art, the sky is limit. Encourage kids to create music, poems, stories, paintings and plays. Feeling stumped? Give them prompts to get them started. Here are a few to try:
• Paint a picture of a beautiful place you want to go
• Draw a picture of your favorite animal.
• Tell me a story about a kid and their dog.
• Paint a picture of the way you are feeling right now

Personal Hygiene is Important
In this country we average $630 annually on our personal hygiene. The fact is we like to feel clean and well kept. The feeling of walking out of our home in tip top shape always makes us stand a little taller, feel a little lighter, and let’s our pride shine a little brighter. But there is one major glaring issue in our culture that has many of us walking around a bit stinky. It is not our hair, our deodorant, or our feet. It is our spiritual hygiene. This cleanliness does not come from a bottle of shampoo, conditioner, bar of soap, or stick of deodorant. It comes from the only place it can. By attending church and participating in the Worship of our lord. So how do you fix this, is there a tik tok video?
Try this;
Go to church this Sunday, sit in a pew and sing the hymns, I mean really sing them. Pray along with the congregation and listen carefully to the pastor’s message, really listen because this is the soap, the shampoo, the deodorant of our spiritual cleansing. That message was sent by God, through the pastor, just for you. It’s a message you need to hear, and it will cleanse your spirit and allow you to walk out of church lighter in your step, taller in your stance, and brighter in your disposition. You will be cleaner, not only on the surface, but rather a much deeper and more meaningful kind of clean. And people will notice. Just like the shower in your house Church is the best place for you to get spiritually clean. And if you don’t normally attend a church, stop by any one you wish, and I expect you will find out that they are more than inviting and God knows you are there and has prepared a message just for you. A massage that will scrub all the spiritual dirt away.

How To Choose the Best Weight Loss Plan for Your 2023 Goals
(StatePoint) It’s that time of year again when many Americans make the resolution to lose weight and start a healthier routine. This year in particular, with the pandemic largely behind us, many Americans will once again focus on their health.
In fact, 64% of Americans are motivated to lose weight because they know it has an impact on their immunity, according to a recent poll of 2,000 U.S. adults aged 30 and above. And 61% also now realize that a healthy diet and lifestyle can better protect their long-term health.
So what should you look for when it comes to a weight loss plan? Courtney McCormick, MPH, RDN, LDN, corporate dietitian at Nutrisystem, offers these tips to help you choose a program that’s right for you
Keep it Simple: Let’s face it, in our crazy busy world, we have to make hundreds of decisions a day, often at lightning speed. You shouldn’t have to worry about counting points or measuring foods. Look for a plan that’s easy and convenient, and does the work for you
Focus on Protein: Protein is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle and a key to weight loss. Protein helps with satiety, so it’s important to include some in each meal and snack. Look for plans with high-protein options, like Nutrisystem’s new premium meals, which include up to 30 grams in each meal and keep you full for up to five hours.
Look for Value: As prices continue to rise at grocery stores nationwide, many people are struggling to find affordable options that can help them eat healthier and lose weight. However, those options do exist. Look for plans that are cost-effective and deliver the majority of meals right to your door.
Don’t Give Up Your Favorite Meals: Look for a plan that lets you eat your favorite foods. Losing weight doesn’t have to mean giving up the things you love. Weight loss plans like Nutrisystem offer comfort foods made healthier that are perfectly portioned so you can enjoy them without any guilt. Plus, the plan also offers dessert for those who have a sweet tooth.
Seek Support: Achieving the goals you’ve set for yourself is so much easier when you have a support system. The best people to have on your team when you’re trying to lose excess weight are those who sit down at daily meals with you. Even better, your chances of reaching and maintaining your weight loss goal increase dramatically if another person in your household joins you on the journey. Look for plans that offer options for both you and your partner to get healthier together.
For more great information and other ideas to help fuel your success this year, visit leaf.nutrisystem.com.
Remember, your weight loss goals will be more than achievable this year if you follow the right plan for you. Look for a program designed to help you succeed
