Welcome to REPORTEROS READERS!
This comprehensible readers series consists of engaging stories that immerse young learners into different environments and the daily lives of the readers’ protagonists, who face important challenges.
Ideal for students in grades 6-12, the series serves as an excellent supplement to the REPORTEROS program or can be used independently.
The three readers that accompany REPORTEROS 1 incorporate the themes and vocabulary of the corresponding units in the Student Edition as follows:

WHAT IS A COMPREHENSIBLE READER?
REPORTEROS READERS are based on the pedagogical approach known as “Acquisition Driven Instruction” (ADI), a methodology that focuses on the natural acquisition of the language. This innovative approach is based on the premise that humans have an innate ability to learn a language without the need to study grammar rules explicitly. Through meaningful immersion in an exciting narrative supported by images, the use of cognates, and transparent vocabulary, students acquire language in a manner similar to how they learned their native language, organically and effortlessly.
Our carefully crafted stories are written in comprehensible Spanish, tailored to challenge students just beyond their current level. This approach enables students to expand their vocabulary and grasp new structures without feeling overwhelmed.

HOW TO USE THE TEACHER’S GUIDE
The Teacher’s Guide with its many worksheets has been carefully designed as a complement to the readers. It is a versatile tool that can be used both in and out of the classroom. In a school environment, teachers can integrate the activities into their lessons to strengthen students’ reading and listening comprehension. Through interactive activities, students can delve into the story, practice oral expression, and improve their communication skills in Spanish.
Outside the classroom, the activities invite students to continue learning Spanish at their own pace. The suggested activities allow them to immerse themselves in an exciting linguistic adventure while reinforcing what they have learned in class and expanding their language proficiency.

narrador /a: Dana compra comida en las concesiones. Son las cinco cuarenta y cinco de la tarde. María no responde a sus textos. María no responde al teléfono. ¿Dónde está María? Hay muchas mujeres cerca del baño. Dana piensa que María posiblemente está en el baño.
Después de un momento, Dana escucha:
sebastián: ¿¡Dana?! ¿¡Qué haces aquí?!
dana ( muy sorprendida) : ¡¿Sebastián?¡ ¡¿Qué haces TÚ aquí?! ¡Qué SORPRESA!
narrador /a: Dana está muy sorprendida. Dana piensa: “¡Ahora es más alto!”.
sebastián: ¡¿Cómo estás?!
narrador /a: Ellos se saludan de beso. Se dan un abrazo también.
dana: ¡Súper! Estoy aquí con mi papá y voy a ver a mi amiga María. Queremos hablar con una jugadora del equipo de México. María va a tomar fotos. Pero no sé dónde está María. No responde a mis textos. No responde al teléfono. ¡No sé dónde está!
