The architecture study tour spanning three days took our group of students on an enlightening journey through the picturesque town of Pondicherry and the utopian community of Auroville.
The three-day architecture study tour of Pondicherry and Auroville was an enlightening and educational experience. We witnessed diverse architectural styles, sustainable building practices, and explored the spiritual and educational aspects of Auroville. This trip not only broadened our understanding of architecture but also enriched our perspective on sustainable living and education. It was a journey filled with both enjoyment and valuable insights, making it an unforgettable experience for all of us.

On the occasion of 66 years of NASA journey we took a small initiative to spread awareness about the field of architecture and motivated the young minds at Sarada Junior College in Vijayawada to choose their interests.
As day to day the glow of our stream flickers, as students of architecture we took a step to reached out to young enthusiastic minds and showcased the importance of architecture.

ECO-TOURISM theroleofvernacularpracticesineco-tourism
Vernacular practices play a significant role in eco-tourism, as they often reflect the sustainable and culturally rich aspects of a region's environment. Eco-tourism, which focuses on responsible travel to natural areas that conserve the environment and improve the wellbeing of local communities, can benefit from incorporating and promoting vernacular practices in several ways. Vernacular practices encompass traditional customs, knowledge, and skills that have been passed down through generations. By incorporating these practices into eco-tourism experiences, visitors have the opportunity to learn about and appreciate the cultural heritage of the local community. This helps preserve and celebrate indigenous cultures and traditions. Vernacular architecture's sensitivity to climatic conditions also enhances its performance in diverse environments. Designs are tailored to optimize ventilation, shading, and natural light, adapt to local weather patterns, and minimize the need for energy-consuming HVAC systems. In a country with a diverse climate like India, this adaptability is particularly advantageous, creating comfortable living spaces and reducing energy consumption simultaneously. Eco-tourists can gain insights into the local flora and fauna, as well as the ways in which communities have coexisted with nature for generations.
- Ar. B.V. Lakshmi Assistant Professor, KL School of ArchitectureStudentNote Auroville Earth Institute
The Auroville Earth Institute is a non-profit organization specializing in research and transferring earth-based building technologies for a sustainable future. When we arrived, we were greeted by Jr architect Kishore who explained everything and gave us a tour. Where we learned about CSEBS, various types of soils around the world, and the equipment and techniques used. We were taken to the material lab, which housed 70+ blocks, sections of poured earth, arches, and ferrous cement.
We got to know that they did the majority of the construction in Auroville. Following a quick pause, we were given a brief presentation on 14 earthen construction techniques such as rammed earth, poured earth, CSEBs, earth cutouts, and so on.
Later, we attended a live hands-on class that demonstrated how to construct a block using Earth Institute's Auram 300. It was an overwhelming experience where we learned a lot. It was the first time when I got to know and was astonished that using earth as a building material has a vast scope.
Lastly, I would like to thank the faculty for this wonderful experience.

It all starts with a small step, as a startup company De'ithihas Ar Studio which means "The History” (your house/place will be marked in history), and I chose it since my name has its entire meaning when reversed.
Sahithi -Ithihas
Fortunately doing pretty well, it started with a personal project intern, and I seek knowledge of how it really works everything we learnt in college obviously when you have good work definitely work will speak so as I got many projects design works later on, I started to take-up as project contracts and dealing with whole work of execution. Creativity had no ends from the explorer of the architecture to the Inspiring architecture. Definitely a proud feeling for my design works being performed through my projects like an architect, I feel so happy when I see my projects on board. This is by no means the end of my ambition to create more challenging projects and establish a signature mark as De'ithihas works 'Your Place/House will mark in De'lthihas'
