隆雪家具企业商会 2015 年度会员大会会议记录日期：2015 年 4 月 24 日（星期五）时间：中午 1 时 30 分地点：隆雪家具企业商会会所三楼礼堂会议主持：大会议长黄郁燊先生会议记录：林可秀 1 推选大会议长候选人：黄郁燊先生提议人：Tawei (M) Sdn Bhd，戴春平附议人：Hup Chong Furniture Sdn Bhd，蔡春才 2 会长致词隆雪家具企业商会会长拿督周嘉昌表示 595 是带领商会永续发展的推动力，也是引领会员同业走向国际舞台，提升会员企业在国际竞争上的优势。建立【雪州国际家具城】是本会 595 计划的重要目标。纵使多番波折与考验，不过，他依然相信只要坚持和努力，打造一个安全、绿化及有规模的【雪州国际家具城】是指日可待的，并希望家具城小组与新一届的理事会，能够继续秉着设立家具城的初衷，积极的往这个远景迈进，将家具业集合一起发展，打造家具业新格局、提升家具业竞争力。拿督周嘉昌也宣布马来西亚家具与装饰展销会（ MF3）将于今年分别在吉隆坡会展中心举办 2 场以及 1 场在马来西亚外贸促进局会展中心（MECC）举行。他也透露本会在今年会更加着重在加强 MF3 品牌形象塑造的工作，以便树立属于自己的企业品牌，有望提升大众对 MF3 的认识。此外，他表示今年 7 月，本会也将开办《战略品牌管理》课程，针对中小企业主的现况设计适合的思考架构，结合理论与实务，引导他们理出一条合适自家品牌的道路，并且传授如何预估品牌投资与效益。该项课程不但请来名牌名人分享、专业导师指导、也有打造品牌的幕后推手传授实践性方法与渠道。同时也将拉队到泰国进行实地考察，参观当地著名的家具品牌市场，以更深入了解与领会泰国打造家具品牌与设计的优势与策略以及未来的发展趋势。他语重心长的表示，该会从 2010 年开始启动 595，至今已经完成了第一阶段的目标。接下来， 595 即将踏入第二阶段向成功之路迈进，他希望新届理事在新会长的带领下能够齐心合力，克

服难题，为商会共创佳绩。

3 议长致词大会议长黄郁燊先生表示今次已经是他第五度主持常年会员大会。他认为公会必须要吸纳更多新血，培养接班人才是延续公会发展的要点。因此，他鼓励未来的理事能够积极带动身边的会员同业参与公会活动，甚至加入公会成为理事会的一份子，公会就能在新思维的领导下开创不一样的新天地。在大会会议未正式开始前，大会议长要求秘书处确认当天常年会员大会的出席人数，根据隆雪家具企业商会章程之会议法定人数 7.5 条文，需至少达到理事会一半的人数的出席率。议长确认当天出席人数为 56 人，而最低的法定人数则是 48 人。大会议长宣布出席人数已达到法定人数，所以常年会员大会可以正式进行。议长讲解今天大会的议程包括复准前期大会议案、前期大会议案引起的事项、接纳 2014 年度秘书报告、接纳 2014 年度财政报告、修改章程和讨论及接纳会员提案，同时也会为会员们汇报今年的预算、工作计划及未来第二阶段 595 计划。而今天也会进行第七届理事会的改选，遴选 24 名理事。 4 复准前期大会议案会员 Novel Furniture Sdn Bhd 代表黄天才先生提议接纳于 2014 年 4 月 21 日举行的会员大会会议记录，并由会员 G-Orient Enterprise Sdn Bhd 代表孙一翔先生附议接纳。 5 前期大会议案引起事项无。 6 接纳 2014 年度秘书报告 6.1 秘书长邱爱博先生向在座会员汇报 2014 年 3 月 1 日至 2015 年 2 月 28 日的商会会务活动。 6.1.1 2014 年秘书报告由会员 Tawei (M) Sdn Bhd 代表戴春平先生提议接纳，会员 Huts Furniture Sdn Bhd 代表胡天顺先生附议接纳。 6.2 在今天常年大会会议上，以视频来回顾 2010 年至 2014 年商会进行的计划与活动片段。 6.3 由秘书长邱爱博简单汇报 2015 年的工作计划。汇报重点如下： 6.3.1 马来西亚家具与装饰展销会 (MF3) 将在 2015 年于以下地点举办三场家具展： (1) KLCC 3-5 Jul 2015 (2) MECC 9 -11 Oct 2015 (3) KLCC 24-27 Dec 2015 6.3.2 透过学院领养计划：包括参观隆雪家具厂、授课、实习及进行游学如前往麻坡家具厂或与南方大学配合推广家具工业课程 6.3.3《企业家经营管理研修班》之第三模块课程『战略品牌管理课程』将于７月份开课

－企业家分享、品牌管理课程、海外考察团。今年商会也将准备与提呈家具工业课程至教育部及批准。 6.3.4 今年 10 月, 商会组团前往泰国进行商务考察。 6.3.5 商会也于今年举办隆雪家具企业商会 1２週年纪念晚宴。

6.3.6 今年的《隆雪家具》专业期刊已经改版，并换上全新的面貌及改名《FURNISENSE》 6.3.7 今年的会员家庭日将于 5 月举办泰国越野自驾旅前往泰国 KOLIPE 岛旅游。

减少，但是今年商会将举办三场次家具展。第一场于 7 月在 KLCC 进行。第二场 MF3 将在 MECC @ MATRADE（10 月份）举办，其收入预算为 RM170，880.25；至于第三场 MF3 同样在 KLCC 举办（12 月份），所赚取的收入预算为 RM374，490.78。 8.2.2 商会的总收入从去年的 RM554,582.08 增加至 RM687,551.85。 9

10 讨论及接纳会员提案 2015 年常年会员大会一致通过以下会员提呈的提案：

提案(一)：设立家具业技职培训学院案由：国内家具生产百分之 66 都是依赖外劳员工，可悲的是家具业却经常面对外劳短缺的困境，使到家具生产力出现阻滞，产量减少的情形下影响了家具出口量。此外，政府也不重新开放让家具业者聘请非熟练的孟加拉籍外劳，导致家具厂商出现人手严重短缺的问题。长期性劳工不足将会造成家具业的发展停滞不前，也影响家具出口额提升至 160 亿令吉的目标。为此，培训本地员工加入家具行业，减少外籍劳工的需求才是上上之策。

技职教育对于家具行业与国家的发展起了关键性作用，也是国家发展建设的基础，没有符合的技职专业人才，我国不可能在高科技技术上与人竞争。只要技职教育一天没受到重视，国家就不可能成为先进国。因此，家具业要晋升国际化，必须增强国内家具业技职教育的吸引力，加强人力资源发展以应对迅速发展的经济需求，达到社会稳定，逐渐减少依赖外劳，以聘用优质的本地技工人员取代。方案： 1) 设立家具业技职培训学院。依据本地家具企业的特点，设计专业的木工技术培训课程，比如设计各类中短期在岗人员培训，如喷漆、安装、木工等技术的专门培训，确保本地员工接受正规培训课程，不管在技术与技能方面都能够达到家具行业的需求。 2) 建议商会加强与森州技职培训中心（NSSDC）及木材业技能发展中心（WISDEC）的配合，积极推动家具与相关行业的培训课程，以培育更多本地技职员工，从而提升本地技工素质与行业的技术与技能。提议人：Briben Resources Sdn Bhd, 邱爱博附议人：Tawei (M) Sdn Bhd, 戴春平提案二：推动本地家具设计师计划案由：政府一直倡导家具原创设计制造，打造自家品牌，希望透过培养本地设计师，从代工生产转到原创生产以取得原创品牌的地位，打造属于我国的家具产业，一个具有我国代表性的原创价值，继而提升马来西亚家具出口业在国际市场上的知名度及竞争力。虽然国内具有许多创意十足及潜质的设计师，但是却缺乏一个很好的平台推广本地设计，让设计师去展示其作品，使他们无法得到厂家及市场的认同。方案： 1）推行《家具设计培训与推广计划》，本地设计师透过商会的协助寻找指定的厂商进行配合，提供设计师有关家具制造的实践培训课程。经过实践培训，设计师可设计符合生产商及市场认同的产品。通过本地厂商在研发、技术，原材料方面的需求，设计出符合市场价值的本地家具产品，再由厂家把本地家具设计带上国际舞台，向国外展示具有本地元素及特色的家具设计。 2）建议透过与政府机构的配合推动本地家具设计师计划，设立家具设计师中心，籍由创意设计的方法，来提升家具设计的能力，协助家具产业开发新产品，培训家具设计人才，利用创意、精致化及市场区隔的发展策略，甚至在资料库与知识网的建置，来提升家具产业优势，推广家居设计的价值，引導其建立自有品牌，将产品成功的行销各国，以期增加马来西亚家具领域出口额。 3）通过内销的管道，例如马来西亚家具与装饰展销会（MF3）作为一个平台展示与推广本地家具设计师的作品，增加其作品在市面的曝光率，吸引外界及市场消费者更多的关注本地元素的家具设计。 4）建议寻求政府机构如马来西亚家具促进局（MFPC）及马来西亚木材工业局（MTIB）在资金上援助以推动这项计划。提议人：Briben Resources Sdn Bhd, 邱爱博附议人：Eukenco Furniture Trading Sdn Bhd, 林建明

提案三：促请政府修订掠夺罪案的刑罚案由：近几年来，掠夺案在我国日益猖狂，掠夺犯横行干案更是令人感到非常担忧，而且也影响公共安全及人民生活。根据吉隆坡總警長拿督達朱丁指出，隆市攫奪案節節上升，去年相較於前年同期的數據激增 418 宗，增幅達 195%。根據數據統計，吉隆坡警方去年接獲 2 萬 940 宗罪案投報，相較於前年的 2 萬 3 千 758 宗，減少了 2 千 818 宗，總體下降 11.9%。不過，攫奪案卻大大增加，前年只有 214 宗，去年竟增至 632 宗，大幅度增加將近 200%。掠夺罪案不跌反增的情形让人民感到恐慌，民众上街也提心吊胆。虽然我国法律对掠夺匪的制裁，只有刑事法典 372、392、394 或 395 条文决定刑罚，这些刑罚中，没有鞭刑、最低监禁期限或死刑的严厉刑罚来对付掠夺匪。因为现有的刑罚太轻，导致许多惯犯食髓知味，一再犯案，掠夺案件才会越来越猖狂。方案：促请政府修订掠夺罪的法案，应该以更严厉的刑罚对付掠夺犯，加重刑罚如鞭笞与至少一年的监禁；或更严厉执法也就是把掠夺案列为企图谋杀罪，对罪成的掠匪强制判处于死刑。掠夺案已经进入难以控制的地步，因此「乱世」就应该用「严刑」来阻止，以还给人民一个安全舒适的生活环境。提议人：Tawei (M) Sdn Bhd, 戴春平附议人：Goodnite Enterprise (M) Sdn Bhd, 周嘉昌提案四：促请大马兽医局取消皮革进口申请准证案由：大马兽医局在 15 年前已经发觉皮革制成品是不需要进口准证，因此取消皮革成品之进口准证条款，但是兽医局却在 2013 年 11 月又重新执行皮革制成品之进口准证政策。原皮的一切原菌在加工成皮革成品时已经完全消毒，就如进口的皮革座垫，皮包，皮鞋和皮革沙发都是用同样的皮革制成品。所以皮革成品重新执行进口准证是错误的。方案：促请商会联系兽医局进行对话以便取消皮革成品进口准证条款。提议人： IB sofa Sdn Bhd, 许烺裕附议人： Tawei (M) Sdn Bhd, 戴春平 11 隆雪家具企业商会第七届理事会选举 11.1 在第七届理事会选举未开始前，由营运总监黄婉君颁发纪念品于卸任会长拿督周嘉昌。 11.2 大会议长郑重向在座的所有会员宣布 2013-2015 年度之第六届理事会正式解散。 11.3 在第六届理事会宣布正式解散后，大会议长宣布第七届理事会选举正式开始进行投票。

2 WELCOME SPEECH BY PRESIDENT Dato’ Edmond Chew, president of KLSFEA said that Vision 595 directions was the driving force behind the association’s sustained development, to lead members to international arena and to improve competitive edges. The development of Selangor International Furniture City (SIFC) is a major objective for 595 directions. Even it met unexpected turns and challenges, he believe that the furniture city will be built in the near future. With the efforts of SIFC sub-committee and new board, the development of the furniture city will be able to centralized the furniture industry by creating a new structure of the furniture industry and increase competitiveness. Dato’ Edmond Chew announced that Malaysian Furniture and Furnishings Fair (MF3) will be organizing two furniture exhibitions at KLCC and one furniture exhibition at MECC. He revealed that MF3 branding will enhance and build up its branded and increase public awareness. In addition, he said that in July later that year the association will be organizing a “Branding Management” seminar for SME enterprise to lead them to set up a strategy for building up their own branding and on how to estimate investment and effectiveness in branding. The seminar had invited renowned speakers and professional mentors to teach and impart of the way on how to create a success branding. Meanwhile, the association will organize a trade mission to Thailand in order to visit the branded furniture outlets to better understand the strategic importance of creating branding. He stressed that association had set up the 595 Vision in 2010, the phase 1 of 595 plan has been completed. As 595 is about to enter phase 2, he hopes that the association under a new president and board will be able to work together to overcome all obstacles to success 3 CHAIRMAN’S SPEECH Mr. Richard Wong said this is his fifth time invited to be a chairman. He said that the key point of sustainable development of an association is to take in more and more new members of the committee to train them to be successors. Therefore, he hoped that the new board will actively

encourage members to participate in activities organized by the association and even be elected to became committee members. Under the new leadership and input the association can create a new innovative environment. Before the AGM started, the Chairman requested that the quorum of the meeting be confirmed by the secretariat whereby at least half of the total members of the Association have to be in attendance according to article 7.5 in the constitution. The Chairman confirmed that 56 members were present as compared to the required quorum of 48 members. Therefore, he announced that the Annual General Meeting was legal. The agenda included adopting the previous meeting minutes, matters arising in the previous meeting minutes, to adopt the secretary’s report and treasurer report of year 2014 as well as to discuss and adopt the amendment of constitutions and resolutions submitted by members. Besides that, the budget, working plan of year 2015 and 595 plan of phase 2 will be reported in the meeting. The 7th Council of Committee will be formed with the election of 24 officer bearers. 4 TO ADOPT AND REVIEW THE PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES Wong Thian Choy, representing Novel Furniture Sdn Bhd proposed to adopt the AGM meeting minutes which was held on April 21, 2014. It was seconded by Soon Yit Siang, representing G-Orient Enterprise Sdn Bhd. 5 MATTERS ARISING IN THE PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES No matters were raised. 6 TO ADOPT SECRETARY REPORT OF YEAR 2014 6.1 Albert Khoo, Secretary General reported on the Association annual activities from 1st March 2014 until 28th February 2015. 6.1.1 The secretary report was adopted by Sunny Ter Soon Peng, representing Tawei (M) SB and seconded by Daniel Hu, representing Huts Furniture Sdn Bhd. 6.2 In the meeting, the KLSFEA activities of year 2010 to 2014 were reviewed via a slide show presentation. 6.3 Albert Khoo, Secretary General reported on the working plan of year 2015. 6.3.1 Malaysian Furniture & Furnishings Fair (MF3) will be held on: (1) KLCC 3-5 Jul 2015 (2) MECC 9 -11 Oct 2015 (3) KLCC 24-27 Dec 2015 6.3.2 The Adoption and Incubation Program included site visits to furniture factories, organising courses and training, study tour to visit manufacturer at Muar and collaboration with Southern University College on promoting courses relevant to the furniture industry. 6.3.3 The module 3 “Strategic & Branding Management Course” will start on July 2015. The module will including entrepreneur talk sharing, branding management & Trade Mission to Thailand. The association will preparing a syllabus of the furniture industry for submission to Ministry of Education (MOE) for approval. 6.2.3 The association will be organizing a trade & investment mission to Thailand in October.

6.2.4 Association will hold the 12th Anniversary Dinner in this year. 6.2.5 KLSFEA Magazine has been turned into a NEW phase. 8.1.1 The Treasurer report was adopted by Lim Kean Beng, representing Eukenco Furniture Trading Sdn Bhd and seconded by Albert Khoo, representing Briben Resources SB. 8.2 In the next, Eric Lee Kong Sim reported on the budget of year 2015. 8.2.1 The association’s income estimate was RM 66,676.88 and was reduced if compared with last year. The income was reduced because of the expenditures increased caused by staff wages. The income for 1st MF3 exhibition at KLCC estimate was RM 77,306.94 and was reduced if compared with last year because there was no increase in booth selling price even though the hall rental was increased. The association will organize more furniture exhibitions in this year despite of income for 1st exhibition was reduced. 10 TO DISCUSS AND ADOPT THE RESOLUTION SUBMITTED BY MEMBERS The General Councils unanimously adopted the resolutions which submitted by members as follow: RESOLUTION 1: TO SET UP SKILL TRAINING INSTITURE OF FURNITURE INDUSTRY REASON: 66% of the total domestic furniture production labour is dependent on foreign workers but sadly the furniture industry constantly faces difficulties of labour hortage so there is a bottleneck for furniture productivity, affecting the furniture export volume due to reduced production. Moreover, the government does not allow the industry to hire unskilled Bangladeshi labor, leading furniture manufacturers to face serious manpower shortage problems. In the long run, it will also affect the NATIP furniture exports target of 16 billion ringgit. To this end, training of local staff to join the furniture industry, reducing demand for foreign workers is the preferred policy. Technical and vocational training for the industry and country had been key factor for national development. We will not be able to compete in high technology sectors if we do not have the necessary professionals. As long as the technical and vocational training is emphasized we will become an advanced country. Therefore, to promote the furniture industry internationally, we must enhance the attractiveness of the domestic furniture industry in term of technical and vocational education, strengthening of human resources development in order to respond to the needs of rapid economic development, achieve social stability, and gradually reduce the reliance of foreign workers in order to hire quality local mechanic staff.

SOLUTIONS: 1) To set up a technical training institute based on the requirements of the local furniture industry covering design, professional woodworking and technical training. 2) Propose to enhance cooperation with the technical and vocational training centers like Negeri Sembilan (NSSDC) and Wood Industry Skills Development Centre (WISDEC) and to actively promote training courses to our local furniture industry. Proposer: Briben Resources Sdn Bhd, Albert Khoo Seconder: Tawei (M) Sdn Bhd, Sunny Ter RESOLUTION 2: PLAN OF PROMOTING LOCAL FURNITURE DESIGNER REASON: The Government has been promoting the original furniture design and manufacturing, to create their own brand, hope that through training of local designers, to transform from OEM to original production in order to obtain the status of the original brand, build up our furniture industry, with a representative of the original value thus improve the Malaysian furniture export industry in the international market visibility and competitiveness. Although the country has a lot of creative and promising designers, but the lack of a good platform to promote local design allows designers to showcases their work to enable them get the manufacturers and market recognition. SOLUTIONS: 1) Implementation of the "creative furniture design training and promotion plan," Local designers looking for vendors with specified through the assistance of the association to provide hands-on training courses related to designer furniture manufacturing. Through hands-on training, designers can create design comply with manufacturers and market acceptance of products. Through the demand by the local manufacturers in research and development, technology, raw materials, and designed to meet the market value of the local furniture products, design furniture product in line with the market value, then bring the local furniture design to the international stage by the manufacturers, showcase in the foreign shows with local furniture design elements and features. 2) Propose to promote local furniture designers through cooperation with local government agencies to set up a design center, from the method of creative design, to enhance the ability of furniture design, to assist the furniture industry to develop new products, train up talent of furniture, to utilize their creativity, refinement and market development strategy, 3) Even in the database and build knowledge networks to enhance the advantages of furniture industry to promote the value of home design, guide them to establish their own brands, and the successful product marketing over the countries, in order to increase Malaysian furniture exports. 4) By the conduit of domestic sales, such as Malaysian Furniture and Furnishings Fair (MF3) as a platform to showcase and promote the local furniture designers, to increase its visibility in the market to attract outsiders attention and local market consumers pay more attention in furniture design with local elements. 5) Propose to seek financial support or grant assistance from government agencies such as the Malaysian Furniture Promotion Council (MFPC) and the Malaysian Timber Industry Board (MTIB) to promote the plan. RESOLUTION 3: URGE THE MALAYSIAN ATTORNEY GENERAL TO AMEND SERIOUS CRIME PENALTIES REASON: In recent years, plunder case in our state rampantly increasing, it is made people terribly worried, and affected public safety and people's lives. According to the Chief Police Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Tajuddin Md Isa pointed out that the Snapper cases in KL has increased 195%, 418 cases over the same period compared to same period in last year. According to statistics, the police of Kuala Lumpur received 20,940-reported crime, compared to the previous year's 23,758, and has reduced 2,818 case, the overall dropped of 11.9%. However, Snatch case has seriously increased, there are only 214 at the years before last, and 632 cases last year, a substantial increase nearly 200%. High raised of Predatory crime caused people afraid and panic of outing. Although our legal sanctions against looting bandits, only 372,392,394, or 395 of the Criminal Code provisions in determining sentence, the penalty is not severe punishment of flogging, the minimum term of imprisonment or the death penalty against bandits plunder. Because the existing penalties are too light, resulting in many recidivist repeatedly commit crimes, the case will be more and more rampant. SOLUTIONS: We urged the government to amend predatory crime bill should be harsher penalties against the plunder committed, heavier penalties such as flogging and imprisonment of at least one year; or more stringent enforcement of the plunder case is classified as attempted murder, a crime of swept into bandit sentenced to mandatory death penalty. So to re-execute the import of finished leather permit is wrong. THE KUALA LUMPUR AND SELANGOR FURNITURE ENTREPRENEUR ASSOCIATION (Established under Societies Act, 1966) NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS 1. GENERAL INFORMATION The principal objects/activities of the Association are as follows:

(a) To foster relationship and benefits among the members. (b) To promote economic, cultural, educational and welfare undertakings among the members. (c) To manage all the properties and matters of the Association. (d) To promote and help in the social and national public welfare activities. (e) To liaise or to joint with other registered societies, which have similar objectives with the Association in order to achieve the above objectives. The principal activity of the subsidiaries are disclosed in Note 5 to the financial statements. There have been no significant changes in the nature of the objects/activities of the Association and its subsidiaries during the financial year.

The Association is registered with the Registrar of Society, established and domiciled in Malaysia. The address of the registered office and principal place of business of the Association is as follows: No. 37 A, B & C, Jalan Kati/E, Seksyen U19, Taman Medan Mas, Kg. Baru Seri Sungai Buloh, 40160 Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan. 2.

DATE OF AUTHORISATION OF ISSUE The financial statements were authorised for issue by the members of General Council on 18 February 2016.

SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES (a) Basis of accounting The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and comply with accounting standards for private entities in Malaysia.

Society No.: 863 (b) Basis of consolidation The Group financial statements consolidate the audited financial statements of the Association and its subsidiary, which have been prepared in accordance with the Group's accounting policies. Subsidiary is the company in which the Group has power to exercise control over the financial and operating policies so as to obtain benefits therefrom. All intercompany transactions, balances and unrealised gains on transactions between group company are eliminated; unrealised losses are also eliminated unless costs cannot be recovered. Subsidiary is consolidated using the acquisition method of accounting from the date on which control are transferred to the Group and are no longer consolidated from the date that control ceases. The gain or loss on disposal of subsidiary is the difference between net disposal proceeds and the Group's share of their net assets together with any unamortised balance of goodwill on acquisition and exchange differences. (c) Goodwill Goodwill represents the excess of the fair value of purchase consideration of subsidiary acquired over the Group's share of the fair values of their identifiable assets and liabilities at the date of acquisition. Goodwill is written down immediately to its recoverable amount where an indication of impairment exists. (d) Property, plant and equipment and depreciation Property, plant and equipment are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and impairment losses. Leasehold land and building is amortised in equal instalments over the terms of the lease period of 90 years. Other property, plant and equipment are depreciated on a straight line method at rates calculated to write off the cost of the assets to their residual values over their estimated useful lives. (e) Investment in subsidiaries Investment in subsidiaries are stated in the Association's financial statements at cost, less impairment losses, if any. The subsidiaries are as set out at Note 5.

Society No.: 863 (f) Cash and cash equivalents Cash and cash equivalents include cash and bank balances, bank overdrafts, deposits and other short term, highly liquid investments that are readily convertible to known amounts of cash and are subject to an insignificant risk of changes in value. (g) Trade and other receivables Trade and other receivables are carried at anticipated realisble value. Known bad debts are written off and allowance is made for any debts which are considered doubtful. (h) Income tax Tax on the surplus or deficit for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Income tax is recognised in the statement of income and expenditure. Current tax expenses is the expected tax payable on the taxable income for the year, using tax rates enacted or substantially enacted at the balance sheet date, and any adjustment to tax payable in respect of previous years. Deferred tax is provided for, using the liability method, on temporary differences at the balance sheet date between the tax bases of assets and liabilities and their carrying amounts in the financial statements. In principle, deferred tax liabilities are recognised for all taxable temporary differences and deferred tax assets are recognised for all deductible temporary differences, unused tax losses and unused tax credits to the extent that it is probable that taxable profit will be available against which the deductible temporary differences, unused tax losses and unused tax credits can be utilised. Deferred tax is not recognised if the temporary difference arises from goodwill or negative goodwill or from the initial recognition of an asset or liability in a transaction which is not a business combination and at the time of the transaction, affects neither accounting surplus nor taxable surplus. Deferred tax is measured at the rates that are expected to apply in the period when the asset is realised or the liability is settled, based on tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted at the balance sheet date. (i) Impairment of assets The carrying amounts of the Company's assets, other than inventories, deferred tax assets and financial assets (other than investments in subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures), are reviewed at each balance sheet date to determine whether there is any indication of impairment. If any such indication exists, the asset's recoverable amount is estimated. An impairment loss is recognised whenever the carrying amount of an assets or its cashgenerating unit exceeds its recoverable amount. (j) Income recognition The Association's income consists of contributions from its members, donations, inauguration dinner, advertisement and product catalogue. Income has been accounted for on accrual basis unless there exists significant uncertainty as to the measurability or collectibility. The subsidiaries' incomes comprise booth rental income and entrance fee. Both incomes are recognised on an accrual basis.

Society No.: 863 (k) Employee benefits (i) Short term benefit Wages, salaries, paid annual leave and sick leave, bonuses, and non-monetary benefits are accrued in the year in which the associated services are rendered by employees of the Association. (ii) Defined contribution plans The Association's contributions to defined contribution plans are charged to the income statement in the year to which they relate. Once the contributions have been paid, the Association has no further payment obligations. 4.

The Association is a "trade association" under Section 53(3) of the Income Tax Act, 1967. The current year's provision for taxation is made on the chargeable income of the Association as a trade association. Pursuant to the Income Tax (Exemption) (No. 19) Order 2005, with effect from year of assessment 2005, statutory income from membersâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; subscription fee received by trade associations is exempted from income tax. 11.
