Best cut-sheet colour printer in the light production market: EDP Award for Konica Minolta’s bizhub PRESS C1070 Langenhagen, June 2014 For the second year running, Konica Minolta has received an award from the renowned European Digital Press Association (EDP). The bizhub PRESS C1070 has beaten the competition this year to win in the “Best cut-sheet colour printer – light production” category. In winning the EDP award, Konica Minolta has once again demonstrated its expertise and success in the European production printing market. The EDP Association counts 20 of Europe’s leading digital print magazines as its members and reaches more than half a million readers. During a special EDP General Assembly, representatives of all the member magazines – including digital print specialists, journalists, technical consultants and industry representatives – discussed the quality of the products that had been submitted for the award. Finally they decided which product deserved an EDP trophy. Decision criteria included aspects such as value to the user, customer support and services. “Having won EDP Awards in 2009, 2011 and 2013, we are delighted to have impressed the jury again this year with our bizhub PRESS C1070. The bizhub PRESS C1070 for digital colour printing brings power, performance and simplicity to any production print application. It combines output speeds of up to 71 pages per minute with familiar PC-like operation features, such as a hand-held mouse, and a large 15-inch colour touch-screen display. Furthermore, the colour production printer’s wide range of functions to control image and colour density and its versatile inline finishing options meet all production requirements.
