Press Release
Konica Minolta Named Leader in 2014 Magic Quadrant for Managed Print and Content Services Langenhagen/Germany, 10th November 2014 Konica Minolta today announced its placement in the Leaders quadrant of the 2014 Magic Quadrant for Managed Print Services (MPS) and Managed Content Services (MCS) by Gartner, Inc., the U.S.-based information technology research and advisory company. Gartner's Magic Quadrant for vendors of Managed Print Services and Managed Content Services worldwide serves as a guide for organisations to identify and evaluate technology providers that can match their global presence and become partners in helping them with the management of their printing and document management needs. The independent Gartner analysts confirm Konica Minolta’s position as a global leading services provider for Optimized Print Services (OPS), Konica Minolta’s MPS offering. In 2010 Konica Minolta started expanding its OPS initiatives globally to optimize printing at various enterprises. Konica Minolta has been providing the services to more than 6,000 corporations worldwide, thereof 3,500 in Europe. The OPS toolset has been redesigned and Konica Minolta’s Professional Services have been enhanced. Also, Konica Minolta has added project management offices and specialised engagements teams to its regional operations so that it can support customers ready to optimize their business processes. Konica Minolta has stepped up its efforts by delivering Managed Content Services to focus on and optimize enterprises’ content and business processes along the entire document life cycle. Konica Minolta has achieved the Leaders quadrant because of enhancements to its OPS tool set combined with its MCS vision. “We have been strategically building our managed print services programme in concert with our managed content services, and we are now acknowledged as a leader in this new combined category,” says Olaf Lorenz, General Manager, International Marketing Division of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe. “We are passionate about driving a less-print strategy through the enablement of our OPS program while reducing operational expenses and delivering access to information in the most effective manner possible,” says Lorenz. “The combined offering of our OPS, MCS and IMS services allow us to architect, implement, manage and support our customers in a cost-effective manner while delivering an end-to-end solution.”
