Why we love our newborns Nothing is more perfect than a newborn. They are brand new and simply lovely. We love working with newborns because from the moment they enter the world they are growing and changing and you only have an incredibly short amount of time to capture it before they outgrow it. We love cuddling with our newborns as we rock them into sleepy photo bliss. Parents fawn over these lovely newborn images and family proudly shows them off to everyone they meet, introducing their newest family member to their entire world. As a parent始s world is changing with the new baby, they will always have the special memories of the first few days of being a family memorialized in their home through these special newborn photos that they can never recreate. Newborn Photography Newborn images are created within the first fourteen days of life of your precious new little one.
When you are planning for your newborn session with us, please let us know what your due date is when you book. We will tentatively schedule your session for sometime right around that time. Once you have your baby, call your parents and siblings, then call us, then call everyone else. We will get your session rescheduled for as soon as possible after that (within fourteen days of birth)
Due to the nature of newborn photography, all newborn images are created in studio. If you would like in home images of your new family we can schedule a separate family session after your newborn images. Read on for more information about your upcoming newborn photo session!

When you book, we plan on spending several hours with you and your baby. We know babies need breaks often. We ask your baby be fed about 20 minutes before your session and kept awake until you arrive. This allows us to capture those adorable sleepy moments everyone loves. We know babies are fussy so please donʼt worry if your little one is not perfectly behaved. We expect this and know how to work with your baby! We have a well trained team to help work with your newborn. Your babyʼs safety is our number one priority. We never do anything to endanger your baby. You are always close by to help move baby and watch over him or her. We ask that you limit the number of people you bring to your session for babyʼs comfort.
Parents are also involved in some of the photos. We ask that you wear solid black, long sleeved shirts for these images. Even if a parent does not want to be involved, we ask that they do. They almost always end up loving the images and if they donʼt, they simply do not order prints of them. Once you book your session we send you more detailed information about your session and the different parts of it. We also offer different props, hats, hair pieces, etc for use during the session or to purchase for your newborn. We also encourage you to bring your own props if you have something you love. We love collaborating with our parents on their newbornʼs session!

Youʼll learn quickly what baby likes and what baby doesnʼt like. We have lots of ways to help soothe baby but we encourage you to bring pacifiers and other soothers with you to your session. Just because you bring it, doesnʼt mean you have to use it, but if you donʼt bring it, you canʼt use it. Donʼt regret not bringing something...this means everything from soothers to props to outfits, etc. Weʼll give you lots of helpful tips before your session so you are prepared before you arrive at your session!
