Hawthorn kick off the round against Knox on Saturday afternoon. The Magic enter the game off the back of two defeats in a row, which ended a three-game winning streak. Knox have struggled for form in the past month and have lost their last four games. They have won four of their nine away games this season and will enter the game as favourites. Hawthorn will then travel to Nunawading to face the Spectres on Sunday. Nunawading sit top of the Watson conference with 17 wins for the season, yet enter the game off the back of a 21-point loss to Waverley. Altona host Melbourne at the Altona Sports Stadium on Saturday. The Gators won both of their games in Round 15 and sit fourth in the Terrill conference. Melbourne sit two positions above them and have won three of their past four games. Nikki Metcalfe starred for the Tigers with 26 points in their 11-point win over Ballarat last week. Melbourne will then take the court on Sunday to host Diamond Valley. The Eagles are the in-form team in the Terrill conference at the moment, and enter the game off the back of four wins in a row. Kilsyth will look to overturn defeat in their last start when they host Dandenong. The Cobras sit second in the Terrill conference but will want to avoid back-to-back defeats against the Rangers, who sit fourth having won four of their last five games. The Rangers will then host Waverley on Sunday who have won their last three games. Grace Beasley has starred for the Falcons this season, averaging 20 points per game. Bendigo take on Ballarat on Saturday night at Bendigo Stadium. The Braves have won four of their last five games and sit top of the Terrill conference, while Ballarat have lost their last 16 games in what has been a disappointing season for the Rush. Ballarat will then return to the court on Sunday to host Altona, while Bendigo will travel to face Hume City, who sit last in the Watson conference with seven wins for the season. Bulleen and Southern will also do battle on Saturday night. The Boomers sit last in the Terrill conference with one win for the season, while Southern sit third with 12 wins for the campaign. Bulleen have another opportunity to win their second game of the season when they travel to Sunbury on Sunday. The Jets have lost their last two games and have won only four of their 10 home games. Ringwood will be favourites to secure their third win in a row when they host Knox at The Rings. The Hawks have been strong on defence and have the conceded the second fewest amount of points in the Watson conference so far this season. Knox have lost their last four games and sit second last in the Watson conference. Hawthorn take on Southern as Round 16 kicks off at the Boroondara Sports Complex. The Sabres sit bottom of the ladder but have shown some promise over the last month, while the Magic are riding a two-game winning streak and will be looking to carry on their run of form. Melbourne host Knox in a massive top-four clash in the Terrill conference. Alexander Higgins-Titsha and Reece Bray have been an exceptional offensive duo for the Tigers, as both players lead the league for average points and assists with 19.5 and 5.6 respectively. Eltham meet Diamond Valley in an exciting inter-conference clash. The Eagles were defeated convincingly by Knox last weekend, and will be looking to respond in a big way in order to justify a top-four spot. Waverley and McKinnon meet on Saturday night as the Cougars look to win their fifth straight game. The Falcons have had a mediocre season but are finishing the campaign admirably, winning three of their last five and putting in a competitive effort against Kilsyth in Round 15. Waverley then go back-to-back as they take on Bulleen on Sunday afternoon. The Boomers would be disappointed with their 2019 campaign, currently holding a 5-16 record for the season, and are most likely looking forward to putting an end to this season. Knox host Sherbrooke as the Raiders look to head into the finals in a good run of form. Knox shouldn’t have too many issues against the Suns, with Sherbrooke losing 19 matches straight. Dandenong take on Blackburn on Sunday, with the odds heavily against the Vikings. The first-placed Rangers have had a lacklustre month, losing three of their last four games, but would be confident against a seventh-placed Blackburn outfit, who have only won four games this season. Ringwood and Eltham meet in a top four clash within the Watson conference. The Hawks have all but secured their place in the finals, but have lost their last two matches and will want to rediscover some form very quickly. Hawthorn head to Nunawading to take on the Spectres on Sunday afternoon. It could be a shootout between Hawthorn’s Joe Furphy and Nunawading’s Jack Gandolfo, with the pair averaging 18.1 and 18.2 points per game respectively this season. Keilor and Kilsyth meet to close Round 16’s proceedings. The Thunder recorded an important win against Blackburn last Sunday to keep their finals chances alive, and now sit one win behind the Eagles in fifth.
