Southern and Kilsyth open up the round in an 8th v 4th clash in the Watson conference. Despite their poor record, the Sabres are coming off two-straight wins, the same streak held by the fourth-placed Cobras. Hawthorn host Keilor and do battle in an inter-conference matchup with the latter needing a win to move into the top four. The Thunder are only outside the top four on percentage currently, whilst in contrasting fortunes the Magic have dropped three in a row. Diamond Valley and Blackburn lock horns as the Eagles look to consolidate fourth place in the Terrill conference. The Vikings have dropped their last six and are 2-6 on the road this season. Bulleen and Sherbrooke continue the Saturday card. Both sides are in the midst of a horror losing streak, with the Boomers sitting on five and the Suns at 16. Knox host McKinnon in an exciting inter-conference battle. The Raiders will be looking to consolidate a top four place in the Terrill division, while the Cougars could still make a finals push despite curretly sitting seventh. Waverley and Melbourne will battle it out to close the Saturday schedule and the Falcons need a win to be any chance of moving into the top four. The Tigers will be tough to beat though, and have only dropped one game on the road this season. Sherbrooke and Diamond Valley meet in what looks to be a one-sided affair. The Eagles are sitting fourth only on percentage and must keep winning to maintain their position with the Thunder right on their tail. Blackburn host Melbourne on Sunday as the Tigers look to consolidate second place. They meet a Vikings outfit in the midst of a sixgame losing streak. McKinnon and Ringwood clash at GESAC in a 7th v 2nd battle. The Cougars get two really tough matchups this weekend, that could make or break their season. Kilsyth meet Knox in a big clash between two top four sides from either conference. The Cobras have won their last two and are an impressive 8-2 at home this season. Dandenong host Eltham in a blockbuster 1st v 1st battle, which is also our first look at both teams in this round. The Rangers have dropped their last two but get the home court advantage, where they are 8-1. However, they meet an Eltham side riding a fierce 11game winning streak. Nunawading and Waverley cap off the round in a 3rd v 5th Watson clash. The Spectres have won eight in a row and will be tough to beat at home.
