ABOUT THE AUTHORS •

Choe Kwang-shik is Director-General of the National Museum of Korea. He is Professor of Korean History at Korea University. He received his PhD in History from Korea University and worked as a director of Korea University Museum for eight years. •

Cho Hyunjong is Chief Curator of the National Museum of Korea. He has been studying Korean wetland and its relics as a museum professional since 1984. He acquired his PhD in Prehistoric Archaeology from Chonnam University. •

Park Haksoo is Metal Conservator of the National Museum of Korea and has been studying diverse metal relics of Korea. He acquired his MA in Metallurgy and finished the coursework for a doctoral degree in Metallurgy at Hanyang University. •

Ahn Hwi-Joon is Emeritus Professor of Seoul National University. He obtained his PhD in Art History from Harvard University and has been playing an influential role in the Korean academia through his numerous studies and lectures. •

Lee Tae-ho is Professor of Korean Art History at Myongji University. He has been
