Chapter President’s Message Worthy Brothers of the San Gabriel Valley Chapter: Congratulations to our NEW State Officers, especially State Deputy-Elect Joe Salaiz. Brother Joe is the first State Deputy from the San Gabriel Valley Chapter! Congratulations also to all of the councils that won awards at the State Convention. It was great to see so many SGV Chapter councils recognized for their hard work. It was also great to see so many of you at Mass, in the hospitality suite or in the convention hall. The 2017-2018 Columbian Year is almost complete, but it is not over yet. Your council still has time to bring in those last few members needed for Star Council, to submit your 365, 1728, SP-7 and audits, and to complete the youth protection training and background checks. You still have time, but not a lot of it. If you have qualified for Star Council (or Double or Triple Star), congratulations. If you have not yet, please make every effort to do so, as your council will benefit from a $4.50/billable member rebate from Supreme.

Council elections are required to be held between May 1st and June 15th so most of you have probably had your elections. As soon as you have your election, please be sure to submit the Form 185 to Supreme and the State Office and the Chapter Delegates form to the Chapter webmaster. Remember, it is next year’s Chapter delegates who will vote at the June Chapter Business Meeting. I am looking forward to seeing you at the June Business Meeting at St. Christopher’s Hall in El Monte on Friday, June 22nd. As this is my last newsletter as your Chapter President, let me take this opportunity to thank all of you for your work over the past year. I ask that you give your support to next years elected officers, from State Deputy Joe Salaiz, to our Chapter President, to the Grand Knight of your council. Vivat Jesus! Ray Forgette Chapter President
