19 Halloween: The Witch at Endor by Chuck Missler
In 1 Samuel 28, we find a bizarre chapter in the history of Israel. Israel’s King Saul has been long preoccupied with the pursuit of his rival David and has neglected the growing Philistine threat to Israel. The Philistines decide to undertake a new strategy and set up their camp in Shunem near the Jezreel Valley south of Mount Gilboa. There they can use their chariots to cut Saul off from the northern tribes, and Saul sees the danger and is terrified. EDITORIAL DEAR FRIENDS
Ron Matsen President, Koinonia HouseDeception by stealth is a tactic employed by Satan that has drawn the unsuspecting into the unimaginable for millennia. No one in their right mind should want to be deceived to the point of being permanently injured, but dabbling in the dangerous world of the occult is like taking a pathway that surely leads to a slippery slope ending in destruction. This is an evil ploy where play leads to practice, humor leads to habit, and entertainment leads to entanglement. The occult is a door that must never be opened. Proverbs 22:3 tells us, “A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished.” Therefore, Proverbs 4:23 reminds us to, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

THE AGE OF DECEIT
THE AGE OF DECEIT - PART 7
In Part 6 of the “Age of Deceit,” I concentrated on Deception by Redefinition. In that instance, I focused on the redefinition of the word “church” and its knock-on effect on how the many view the Body of Christ today. In this session, I am going to explore the impact of redefinition as it is revealed through objectification.
Deception by Objectification
The term objectification means; “treating people like tools or toys as if they had no feelings, opinions, or rights of their own.”1 The Graduate School of Stanford Business published an article2 dealing with the topic of “Power and the objectification of social targets.” The article states,
1 https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/objectification
2 https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/faculty-research/publications/power-objectification-social-targets
“Objectification has been defined historically as a process of subjugation whereby people, like objects, are treated as means to an end. The authors hypothesized that objectification is a response to social power that involves approaching useful social targets regardless of the value of their other human qualities.”3
Throughout the sad history of mankind, objectification has been the means by which civilizations have justified war, slavery, and subjugation of the masses.
Objectification by Characterization
Objectification is a key tool in motivating combatants in a conflict to kill each other. Characterization of your enemy makes killing them easier when all you are doing is terminating an inanimate object of little or no value.
History has been marred with unforgettable genocide and war crimes. Among the most memorable acts of crime in the twentieth century were the Holocaust that killed more than four million Jews in Europe, the crimes during the Kosovo war, and the killings in Rwanda — the list goes on and on. This is simply accomplished by convincing the troops on your side that
111-127.
their enemy is a heartless and hostile force that must be neutralized at any cost. Pragmatically driven situational ethics becomes the guiding principle behind this key component in establishing their mindset into one that will allow the soldiers to block out any compassion for their enemy.
Name-calling is not just child’s play on the school playground. It has always been a mainstream military strategy. In the American war for independence, the British called the rebel troops “Yankees”4, and the revolutionaries called the British troops “Limeys.”5 During the Second World War, the allied soldiers called the Germans, “Krauts” 6 and the Japanese, “Japs.”7
When Jesus was giving His disciples an insider briefing of the end-times scenario, He told them that the signs of the end would be “nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”8 The term translated “nations” is from the Greek word

“ethnos” from which we get our English word ethnic as “relating to large groups of people classed according to common racial, national, tribal, religious, linguistic, or cultural origin or background.”9 The term translated “kingdom” is from the Greek word “basileia” meaning “royal power, kingship, dominion, or rule”10 which in summary means Ideology. Therefore, the subdivision of the world in the end times will not necessarily be according to national borders but will be the ethnic and ideological division of all humanity.
Objectification by Villainization
Once the mindset of objectification by characterization has been established, it is an easy step toward the villainization of those you deem to be a threat to you. Therefore, these “things” are not only inanimate objects, but they present a clear and present danger that must be eliminated. Here we see the power of propaganda that sets in motion the wheels of fear that drive hatred to its ultimate solution.
In the dystopian novel “Nineteen Eighty-Four,” we are shown that “Big Brother” (the ruling elite) uses hate to control the people of Oceania. “The Two Minutes of Hate is a daily ritual in which Party Members express their hatred for enemies of the Party. It is important in showing how the Party compels orthodoxy and cohesiveness among its members.”11 This all culminates in “Hate Week” where the general public is whipped up into a mindless frenzy which in turn enables the party elite to exercise their power over their fearful followers.
Sadly, I believe we are seeing this type of polarizing hate being used by opposing ideologues who are using this powerful weapon to motivate their followers to silence and even crush their adversaries. In this type of caustic and combative environment, discussion and dialogue are discouraged, compromise is considered a weakness, and tolerance is treated as treason. Along the way, the truth gets trampled in the stampede of the mindless masses.

Objectification by Dehumanization
I believe the world currently has a pandemic that is far greater than any virus could ever achieve. The plague of pornography reaches into every home. Through the unlocked portals of the information age, this flood of filth is filling the minds of people with the dehumanizing characterizations of humanity. People have become playthings. Selfsatisfaction is emphasized over self-sacrifice.
The Plague of Pornography
According to Covenant Eyes (a pornography watchdog), “In 2015, worldwide, there were more than 2 billion web searches for porn. Twenty percent of mobile-device searches are for porn. Porn sites attract more visitors each month than Amazon, Netflix, and Twitter combined. 30 percent of Internet content is porn. 88 percent of porn contains violence against women. 90 percent of boys and 60 percent of girls are exposed to Internet porn by age 18. 56 percent of divorces involve one spouse (almost always the man) having an obsessive interest in online porn. Compared with faithful spouses, adulterers are more than twice as likely to be regular viewers of online porn. 28,258 users are watching pornography every second.”12
These sickening statistics merely reflect the fruit of a disease that is at the root of this global pornographic pandemic; a disease that is caused and feeds by a diet of an unrestrained appetite for personal pleasure at any cost. The propagation of explicit sexual behavior creates an unrealistic expectation. Thus, the addictive attraction of these portrayals enslaves their viewer with an insatiable desire that can only be fulfilled in the imaginary world of pornographic fantasy.
Children are increasingly victimized by this perverted influence. The popular role models promoted by mainstream media for young people today present an overly sexualized persona that promotes the 12 https://www.covenanteyes.com/pornstats/
abandonment of the Biblical core values of purity and chastity. Therefore, we should not be surprised when we see children mimic vile behavior.
The Dehumanization of Children
The history of child abuse in every culture under the sun is a matter of record. From infanticide to child sacrifice, the practice of child abuse was widely practiced by pagan cultures. So much so that when Moses is given the Law for the Children of Israel he is told, “And thou shalt not let any of thy seed (children) pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.”13
Because of their size, dependency, and inability to successfully resist, children are the ideal target for self-seeking adults. They are sometimes treated as property or exist merely to serve the purposes of their more powerful benefactors. The perpetrators of this kind of child abuse offer many excuses for their despicable behavior. Sadly, it is the proverbial “elephant in the room” that is kept in the closet.
The statistics concerning this are staggering. “40 million children are subjected to abuse each year. Child rape occurs every two minutes. 1 in 3 girls will be sexually molested before the age 17. 1 in 6 boys will be sexually molested before the age 17. Of 1.5 million runaways, 85% are fleeing some form of abuse.”14 13 Leviticus 18:21 14 https://arkofhopeforchildren.org/child-abuse/child-abuse-statistics-info
16
The objectification of Children was condemned by Jesus when He said, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”15 In fact, in defense of children, Jesus stated, “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”
The Dehumanization of the Unborn
I believe that all cultures can be judged by their treatment of the weakest in their society. I also believe that there is no more vulnerable than an unborn child. Here we see where objectification, characterization, and villainization come together to condemn a child without a voice in the matter. The medical profession has a part to play in this dastardly deed by creating a range of names to describe the developing baby that enables their dehumanization.
According to modern medical terms, “in the first 8 weeks after conception, the human baby is referred to as an embryo. After 8 weeks gestation, the baby is called a fetus until it is born.”17 Then, given the laws in many countries today, if the mother sees the “fetus” as a threat

16 Matthew 18:6; Mark 9:42; Luke 17:2
17 https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/articles/7247-fetal-development-stages-of-growth
to her existence or wellbeing, abortion is the answer. By simply using terms that avoid any reference to its humanity, the medical profession makes it easy to discount these “products of conception (POC)”18 as something less than fully human.
Abortion is the most common surgical procedure performed for women in the U.S. A review of the published reasons for abortion is most telling in my opinion. According to research collected from 2008 through 2010 which asked women about the reasons for getting an abortion19, the following was their response:
• 40% Not financially prepared
• 36% Bad timing, not ready, or unplanned
• 31% Partner-related reasons (including the relationship is bad or new, she doesn’t want to be a single mother, her partner is not supportive, does not want the baby, is abusive, or is the wrong guy)
• 29% Need to focus on her other children
• 20% Interferes with educational or vocational plans
• 19% Not emotionally or mentally prepared
• 12% Health-related reasons (includes concern for her own health, the health of the fetus, use of prescription or nonprescription drugs, alcohol, or tobacco)
• 12% Want a better life for a baby than she could provide
• 7% Not independent or mature enough for a baby:
• 5% Influences from family or friends
• 4% Doesn’t want a baby or to place the baby for adoption
No matter which set of data I reviewed, the overwhelming sense of objectification seemed to provide the justification for killing the unborn child. Once you accept the dehumanization of the child you can excuse any crime against it.

Mainstream mankind has lost a sense of our marvelous humanity. The Psalmist writes,
“13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. 17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!”
Psalm 139:13-17
Holding a Bold Biblical Bias
To stand against this tide of deceit, we need to revisit the Biblical account of the creation of mankind and then refocus our attention on the foundational truth of all humanity’s special place and purpose in the plan of God.
“26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and overall the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Genesis 1:26-27
When you accept that we are all created equal in the “image of our Creator,” then we should treat everyone, regardless of size or station, with the same honor and respect that we would expect from ourselves.

What is the greatest thing that God has done? Some may say “creation,” yet, how many books are devoted to the topic of creation? Primarily, Genesis, some Psalms, a few chapters in Job, Isaiah, etc. There is another act of God that is more profound than creation: redemption! How many books are devoted to the subject of redemption? In a specific sense: Revelation, Joshua, Ruth, etc., and also, in an anticipatory sense, Exodus.
One would be surprised to find an Old Testament book that has more prophecies than the Book of Exodus. For example, Moses finds the burning acacia bush, which has thorns but which was not consumed by the fire. Later, Jesus bears a crown of thorns. Thorns being a symbol of the curse—sin. The flame being the Hands of the Living God. The bush was not consumed by the fire, this is a model of grace. This study contains approx. 16 hours of verse by verse teachings.
HALLOWEEN
THE WITCH AT ENDOR
Chuck Missler Founder, Koinonia HouseIn 1 Samuel 28, we find a bizarre chapter in the history of Israel. The Israelite forces are camped about five miles to the south of Mount Gilboa, and Saul doesn’t know what to do.
During this time, David has gone to live with the Philistines. They trust him because King Saul wants David dead, and they have no clue David goes out and destroys entire groups of Canaanites in his spare time.1 David plays the part of the loyal Philistine subject so convincingly, he’s even been appointed as bodyguard to Achish, the king of Gath.
Meanwhile, the prophet Samuel has died, and the LORD is not answering Saul through the priests or the prophets. Saul is full of fear over the Philistines, and the LORD is not giving him any counsel about what he should do. Saul has removed all the mediums and wizards from the land, which was good, but we see here the typical weakness of Saul in doing what’s right. He’s chased the occultists out of the land, but now that he must go fight the Philistines and God isn’t answering him, he decides he’ll go see a medium. If the other prophets can’t help him, he figures maybe he can speak to the dead Samuel and get some advice.
Saul has a problem. He disobeys God over and over again. In 1 Samuel 15, Saul did not obey God to utterly destroy everything pertaining to the Amalekites. He feared the people and kept some of the spoil rather than just doing what God said. For this, God told Samuel that He was
through with Saul. Samuel grieved all night over it, because he loved Saul, but in the morning Samuel told Saul the bad news. It was over for him as king: Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Disobedience was a constant problem for Saul. When God made it clear that David would be the next king, Saul didn’t accept the Lord’s will. Instead, he tried to hunt down David to kill him. It seems prescient that Samuel equated Saul’s rebellion with witchcraft, because here at the end of Saul’s life, the king throws away everything he knows to be right and goes to consult a medium.
Saul’s servants inform him that a medium lives in Endor, a town between Mount Tabor and the Hill of Moreh in the Jezreel Valley. She has managed to survive the purge, and she’s a mistress of necromancy – one who consults the dead to determine the future. Now, the punishment for mediums and consulting mediums is death, and the witch knows this. Saul should have remembered it as well, because this penalty is dealt against Saul the very next day in the Valley of Jezreel.
Saul dresses himself up and disguises himself so he won’t be recognized as the king, and he asks this medium to bring up a familiar spirit. She protests that he’s setting her up to be executed, because King Saul has made all those kinds of activities illegal. He reassures her that she won’t get in trouble, so she asks him whom it is he wants to speak to, and he says, “Samuel.” She goes to bring up Samuel, and when she sees him, she’s shocked and cries out with a loud voice!
This might indicate that the woman was generally a charlatan, because she apparently wasn’t expecting to really see Samuel. When the old man appears to her, she yells. Maybe the witch had a normal spirit she
depended on, and that spirit didn’t appear; Samuel appeared instead.
Now we’ve got a problem right here. Whom did the witch at Endor really see? Was it Samuel himself pulled up from his temporary rest in Sheol, or was it a demon impersonating Samuel? On one hand, all the woman did was describe an old man in a mantle, and Saul “perceived” it was Samuel. On the other hand, the things Samuel say certainly sound correct. It’s possible that we have here a genuine appearance of Samuel that God himself brought about. At the very least, the following prophecy by Samuel came true the next day.
And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy? And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David: Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day. Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.
Now, while Satan is the accuser of the brethren, and it might have pleased a demon to give Saul this bad news, the Bible does identify this person as Samuel in several places. That’s interesting. After it’s over, Saul is upset, but the medium kills a calf and feeds Saul meat and bread. Then he and his servants leave to return to the battlefield, where Saul will die the next day along with his sons.
It’s also interesting that Samuel never answers Saul’s initial question about what he should do. The harsh reality is that there’s nothing Saul can do because of his disobedience. The battle that follows the next day at Mount Gilboa in 1 Samuel 31 is a disaster. From the beginning, Saul’s army is routed and slaughtered, including his sons. Saul is wounded by an arrow, and he asks his armor bearer to thrust him through with a sword and kill him. The armor bearer won’t do it, so Saul manages to fall on his own sword in an effort to kill himself. When the Philistines find Saul’s body, they dishonor him by cutting off his head, stripping his armor, and hanging his naked body on the wall in the open square.
The great disgrace of Saul was not in how the Philistines treated his body, it was his lack of obedience to the will and the word of God. As we read his story, though, we all know that we could easily be in Saul’s place. We have all been guilty of direct disobedience to God. We’ve all decided we were going to do things our own way instead of His. We fear people rather than fearing the Lord, and if we’re honest with ourselves, we might have saved some of the best of the spoil from that battle with the Amalekites, just as Saul did.
Are we like Saul? Would we chase the witches and mediums out of the land, only to turn to them in a moment of desperation? Are we willing to say, “Yes, seeking knowledge or power through the occult is wrong,” in one minute, but then take in a Tarot card reading the next?
Most importantly, how do we take care of our children? At Halloween, we don’t want them exposed to ideas and experiences that could open them up to spiritual invasion. Do we teach them well, or do we just give in and let them do whatever?

Fifty percent of Americans will decorate for Halloween (compared to over 80% for Christmas). It is now the third most popular party activity, after the Superbowl and New Year’s Eve.
The celebration of the pagan festival of Halloween is now a multi-billion dollar merchandiser’s market.
This is always a difficult time for Christians, especially those with children. It is also a dangerous time for some, since many of the seemingly “harmless” involvements associated with Halloween can also be “entries” for the occult, and can prove very tragic for the unwary.
There is only one true God (Isa 44:6, 8: 46:9). Thus, only one true religion. Scripture declares “all gods of the nations are idols” (Ps 96:5). All false religion and idolatry is by definition involved in demon worship - whether or not the participants recognize it (Acts 26:18). Hence Paul’s concern. The spiritual power and reality behind idols involves demons (I Cor 10:20, Ps 106:37). The Bible tells us to shun occultic practices. This series will help you understand the Pagan background to the modern Halloween traditions practiced today.
CRITICAL THINKING
THE MODERN MORALITY
Iwrite this article from the 11th floor of the King Solomon Hotel in Jerusalem during the final days of the K-House/B.A.S.E. Tour of Israel.1 Earlier this month, my hometown barber stated, “What we need is a shared morality.” The word immoral is used ubiquitously and improperly by so many today. Too often, some policy or situation is described as immoral to show the disdain the speaker has for it. With this article, I hope to stir a conversation in your head or at your dinner table about the emerging modern morality.
Too often, some policy or situation is described as immoral to show the disdain the speaker has for it.
Presentism is “an attitude toward the past dominated by present-day attitudes and experiences.”2 Bill Maher gives an irreverent and sometimes crude monologue3 which delves into the implications of presentism. He describes presentism as the “belief that people who lived one hundred or five hundred or a thousand years ago really should have known better.” If this be presentism, then I say a hearty YES! I have lived for parts of seven decades, and I certainly know today better than I did yesterday about how to behave and how to engage in a challenging society. However, presentism goes much further than maturing into a better decision-maker. It insists on ascribing horrible and creepy motives to the decisions of yesteryear. Under presentism, all the women and men of history are evil, not merely wrong. And presentism allows us to congratulate ourselves for living today rather than so long ago since we are so much more aware and decent and “moral.” Our eyes are

opened, and with this improved vision, we avoid making the horrible and abhorrent choices of our parents and their parents.
My heart is moved by the story of Mimi Groves, who used a racial slur four years ago in a now-viral Tik Tok video.4 I am sure her 20-year-old self regrets the words spoken by her 16-year-old self. She was forced to relinquish her admission to the university of her dreams, along with her position on its cheerleading squad. The Netflix series Stranger Things in Season 4 introduces viewers to Vecna, the villain behind the suffering of so many characters. His punishment is imposed on his victims as he judges each according to the worst moment of his victims and allows no room for remorse or repentance, let alone growth.
The Holy Bible tells its readers that “(God) has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”5
Along with this harsh judgment of our historical morality comes a corresponding and necessary rejection of it. As the reasoning goes, whatever precepts and principles supported the evil choices must themselves be rejected. The Judeo-Christian morality – let’s call it the Ten Commandments6 – was inadequate to stop the horrors and mistakes of the past. Even the Golden Rule “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.”7 becomes suspect under our modern morality. Insufficient is treating others how you want them to treat you; we must anticipate how they want to be treated or addressed and prepare to face the consequences if we fail to meet their standards. Cancel culture thrives under this dynamic.
My premise is that the Modern Morality is summarized in the phrase “do no harm.” We have all heard, “if I am not hurting anybody, why should it matter to you.” I have watched enough western movies to understand that the gang of outlaws terrorizes the town without doing 4 https://news.yahoo.com/vindictive-classmate-cowardly-university-ruined-113026876.html 5 Psalm 103:10-12 6 Exodus 20:1-17
anything illegal (at least at first.) Recent news reports tell of Compton, California, which suffered from street takeovers by large groups of cars and crowds doing burnouts and doughnuts on the public streets.8 Local officials installed Bott’s Dots to discourage this activity. I can imagine the participants of this activity defending it by saying, “we are not hurting anybody.”
Have you, Gracious Reader, said these words to justify your actions? Years ago, I gave a teaching during which I said, “When I find money on the ground, the one person I know it does not belong to is me.” I usually look around for its owner, and I have no doubt I have been duped on more than one occasion. One of the members of the church served as a waiter at a national chain restaurant, and he took these words to heart. He found a misplaced gift card with a significant balance on it. Instead of pocketing it, which was a common practice among the staff of the restaurant, he did his best to find its rightful owner. He was successful, and it turned out to be a lovely elderly couple who regularly frequented his location. They were touched by his integrity and impressed that he put into action the words of a Sunday sermon! What a testimony to all involved and all who hear the story.
We live by a moral code whose genesis comes from one of three paths: • decreed by an authority;
• agreed upon by a majority; or • decided based on the individual’s autonomy.
With the dismissal of any transcendent or traditional authority – either God’s or government – we are left with rule by the majority or by the individual. We see the outcome of mob rule in the many protests and riots of the past few years. And nobody can characterize these as “doing no harm.” Rarely has the mob or rule led to a peaceful and benign coexistence. It establishes an “us versus them” struggle where the stronger wins – truly the worst of what democracy9 promises. 8 https://www.cbsnews.com/losangeles/news/newly-installed-botts-dots-fail-to-stop-street-takeover-incompton/ 9 from Greek δημοκρατία (dēmokratía) – dēmos ‘people’ and kratos ‘rule’ see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Democracy
This mantra, “do no harm,” is linked most closely to autonomy. It insists on freedom to “do what I want” as long as I “do no harm.” The book of Judges, with its several very disturbing and disgusting accounts, closes in its final verse with the phrase, “In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”10 And now we get to it – how can the individual decide whether a given action harms nobody? We are told that “silence is violence,” and we are told that “words are violence.” This contradiction cannot endure. The list of microaggressions grows daily, and anybody can add to it. I grew up in a time when we chanted, ”Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” I am so glad my kids did not grow up with this, and yet each has been the subject of cruel and hurtful words. Now, the casual use of a racial slur can derail a promising and hopeful college and cheerleading path. If the standard is to do no harm, who decides what is harmful? In protecting the person subjected to one uncomfortable or unacceptable act, we risk harming somebody else. And we sort this out by establishing classes of persons and ascribe goodness to one group while demanding the other group be deemed evil.
I try to include in my articles an explicit or implicit “ask” of the reader. I shared my draft article with a fellow tour member named Erika. She wrote to me in an email.11 “The best education we can give ourselves is the Word of God. In order to try to be like our Savior, we have to really get to know the Author by His book. It’s really the only gauge we have to attempt to do no harm unto others and be the best ambassadors we can possibly be. Unfortunately, while being in this world, we might not escape hurting others. The only thing we have as Christians is that by His Grace, no matter how bad we are, He still calls us His Beloved.” Thank you, Erika. And one last quote from the aforementioned Bill Mahar video, “In today’s world, when truth conflicts with narrative, it’s the truth that has to apologize.” That sounds like the tagline for another article.
Please send your comments to chrisc@khouse.org.

Chuck Missler deeply believed that the Church in the end times would need to be “self-feeders.” In his teaching series on the Once and Future Church, Chuck emphasized the fact that the best place to practically learn the Bible is within a small group of believers who are all dedicated to taking the Bible seriously.
To help facilitate this vision, Koinonia House has prepared a complete study group tool kit. Just add a group of people excited to explore the Bible and you have all you need to start your group NOW!
The LTB24 Group Study Package materials are all contained on a handsomely presented USB drive that is housed in an engraved wooden presentation box which includes:
• LTB24 HD MP4 video files (24 High Definition Videos, with optional English and Spanish Subtitles)
• LTB24 MP3 audio files (All 24 audio files)
• LTB24 Handbook - PDF (Supplemental Notes by Chuck Missler)
• LTB24 Group Leader’s Guide – PDF (“How to lead a group” instructions, Session Questions Answer Key, Group Discussion Questions)
• Chuck's Original Power Point files
• LTB24 Student Study Guide – PDF (Session Questions, Discussion Topics and areas for Personal Notes)
• Optional KI Membership
• Optional KI K-Credits for the Group Leader (Requires a KI Practicum submittal)
