Keyshia Ka’oir (formerly known as Keyshia Dior) is a model, actress, stylist, & entrepreneur extraordinaire. She is the owner, CEO and creative force of KA`OIR Cosmetics, a company that she started in 2011. Her cosmetic line embodies everything that she is; it’s bright, young, and vibrant as demonstrated in the KA`OIR commercial that aired nationwide on major cable channels, that include MTV, VH1, E!, BET, Bravo and Style. She recently changed her name to Keyshia Ka’oir to represent her brand at all times. Keyshia “stands out from the rest”, and it is this unique ability that has made her success so impressive. She’s not afraid to be herself and she’s definitely not afraid to go after her goals. This Miami native, with Jamaican roots, is best known for her starring role as “Lisa”, the jealous ex-wife in Timbaland’s mini-movie/ video, “Say Something” featuring the international music superstar, Drake. Since then, Keyshia has been featured in countless music videos with top recording artists. She’s graced the covers of several magazines, sold in stores nationwide and she has made countless appearances all over the country. Her personality and drive cannot be confined to just one thing and she continues to defy expectations. She has become a very well-known personality in a very short period of time but she is not new to the industry. As a celebrity stylist, Keyshia worked with many wellknown artists, athletes and models over the years. Keyshia uses every experience as a learning opportunity for both personal and professional growth. Her main focus today is expanding the KA`OIR brand. As part of her marketing strategy, she recently collaborated with platinum selling recording artist, Trina, who is currently endorsing KA`OIR . Keyshia created a lipstick color specifically for Trina called “Neon Rockstarr” and the fans are loving it! Her growing success gave her a platform to reach out to young girls all over the world. She is very passionate about “giving back” and sharing her blessings. Keyshia has spoken on several panels about maintaining self-esteem, integrity and knowing what’s important… in an industry that can be very challenging. She is adamant about staying true to herself and not compromising any of her values for the sake of fame. This very fact has made her meteoric rise very commendable. She is outspoken and confident and faces challenges head on. With over 1 MILLION followers on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, she consistently encourages and connects with her strong base of supporters, also known as “KA`OIR Dolls”. There is no doubt that this “Mohawk haired” beauty is beautiful and talented, but it’s her warm personality that keeps her fans devoted to her. With the success of her KA`OIR Cosmetics line, Keyshia wanted to ensure that she continues to make a difference. Charitable causes are very important to her so she created a lipstick color called “Survivor” in honor of breast cancer awareness. A percentage of all proceeds will be donated to the “Susan G. Komen for the Cure Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Affiliate”. This is a cause that is near and dear to her heart and it is her hope that she will encourage others to join the fight for a cure for breast cancer. Keyshia Ka’oir is a name that you want to keep an eye on. She is hot, multi-dimensional and is poised for greatness.

BIG GIRLS UNITED It was in 2002 that fashion designer; Tasha Hill decided to fulfill her desire to design clothing for plus size women. Some would argue why this tall and slender framed designer would have interests in plus designing? How could she possibly know what would appeal to women whose bodies types differed from hers and who often could not readily find pieces that reflected sex appeal and sophistication while accentuating the art of curves? The answer was simple: her older sister and the face of BGU, Jeannie Ferguson. Weighing in at over three hundred pounds at one time, Jeannie rallied for the same modern fashion trends for the average plus size woman. Her feelings were if the current retail chains were not going to design, contemporary pieces with the fuller woman in mind, then it was time to do it themselves. Jeannie knew what it was like to shop for clothing and not find adequate pieces that lacked proper fit and sexy conservatism. Thus, she teamed up with Tasha and decided together they would become the brand that delivered what the fashion industry had been missing. The concepts they orchestrated for the debut of BGU (Big Girls United) were based on a combination of personal style, current trends, precise craftsmanship and careful garment selections. It was their goal to eliminate the idea that the curvy women had to hide their shape behind dark colors. BGU made their designs in bold vibrant colors that spoke volumes to consumer’s expectations. Tasha’s background in fashion design coupled, with Jeannie’s plus-size modeling expertise lead them to have a keen knowledge of the industry and how clothes can heighten confidence and self esteem if done tastefully and skillfully. BGU prides itself on providing trendy, contemporary, and ready to wear collections for the stylish curvy fashionista who likes to keep up with the ever changing styles in the world of fashion. The mission behind their designs is to unite all women of different ethnic backgrounds who embrace their curves and are full of self confidence by being secure with their bodies. BGU has and will continue to represent a lifestyle for women who understand that style is not dictated by size. With pieces that have been worn by celebrities such as R&B soul singer, Jazmine Sullivan and seen on the runway of noteworthy shows such as Full Figured Fashion Week, BK Fashion Weekend, and in publications such as Ebony Magazine, BGU is for women who are consciously choosing to flaunt their curves with fitting soft fabrics that show creativity, sass and flavor!

BIRDDIE

What made you get into the entertainment industry? At a young age I played the piano and sung on a youth choir. This is where I picked up the ear for music. I was also brought up in a family filled with musicians, song writers, and performers. In the late 80’s heading towards the early 90’s, one of my first cousins Andre Valentine and oldest brother Anthony Robinson formed a group called “Liquor House”. Their group was one of the first hip-hop/ rap groups to open for major artist such as, The Lox, Lil Kim, Nappy Roots, Out Kast, and Craig Mac. They also recorded at major studios such as, Too Short’s and the list goes on. Majority of the time I traveled along with them. As a young man to witness that at a young age I was inspired and beyond motivated.

You are one of the few Indie artists that is around here that has a main stream DJ on your mixtape. What motivated you to do that? Had to make a power move. If you not trying to expand, what are you in it for. Some people who rap think that you can make a song and get it played in a few clubs plus put it on YouTube and that be it, when the reality check is depending on how major you are trying to be, point blank period. Me for example, I want to do Michal Jackson numbers lol!! You can be lyrical, beyond talented/ beyond blessed with a gift, but the biggest question is, who going to know that if you don’t put the word out and how? #KeepThatInMind

What made you start GSC? Far as the music I was seeing lack of unity in the up state, so I formed an organization called GSC which stands for “Growing Success Constantly”. #AndWeBuilding

Explain your organization GSC? GSC is a circle filled with leaders that’s over their own circles. When people say two heads are better than one, I say more on the same page is a better out come! (How do we operate?) Example, if one of the leaders over a circle has an artist with a project and trying to move on it, he would contact all the other leaders for a GSC meeting. When he comes forth with the artist, project, idea/ what he trying to do with it, everyone in the meeting will decide which producer, graphic designer, and engineer would be best for the artist project. Once wrapped up each circle will promote as one and move as a unit for entourage purpose. (A lot of people on the same page is a real live movement.) #GSC

If you could do a song with anyone dead or alive who would it be? Biggie and Tupac! Far as Biggie he was a punch line genius/battle rapper. Tupac was a poetry spitter and also very versatile. Both of them were great story tellers. If you listen to my lyrics you would see that I’m also very versatile, plus can story tell with a punch in every line. I can write ten different songs on the same track which takes you back to Biggie and Tupac!

Name five artists that’s not in your camp that you feel are making moves? Scram, NBH, 44Water, Young Dirt, Trump

What are some upcoming projects you are working on? Muscle Muzik 3! It’s not just only going to be a mixtape. I will not speak to much about that. #StayTuned

We all know that you are an awesome promoter. What advice would you give someone that’s trying to step into promotions? Always stay creative with a new style of promoting. You don’t want to copy everybody else because you want to stand out. Me for example, I will pack out a Mexican club! Even if I have to change the wording on the flyers to Spanish, dress up as a Mexican, scoop up two bad Hispanic chicks and ride through a Mexican hood, bumping Mexican music, passing out flyers, screaming two dollar coronas all night!! Long story short if a club holds five hundred, reach out to five thousand to hit your mark.

I’ ma Ma fuckin Monster, Beast, Animal/ Local rapper eater, lyrically I’m Hannibal// You can Dodge Charge in to see If I want Challenge you/ The 16 unleash an down like a can of soup!!!!!!!!

AYJAE KOOL Born in Taylors, SC on September 4th, 1988, Ayjae (pronounced A.J.) Kool was the second child born out of his mother's four children. Growing up he found it was hard to make friends, due to him being shy and somewhat of a loner. "I was always good if I had a video game system and a TV to play it on, I could sit in the house all day playing video games back then and I take the same approach as when it comes to music". Like most artist, he grew up in a hood where there was violence, drugs and gangbanging, always wishing for a way out and a better environment. In middle school is when he developed a passion for rhyming and poetry, the way words could touch people around the world showing that no matter what place, state or country you come from, our problems are similar in a way, drove him to being an Hip Hop artist. Growing up listening to Biggie, 2Pac, Nas and AZ, he always knew when the time came to record on wax, he wouldn't disappoint. In Middle School is where he met his best friend/producer/recording partner, Michael Denir, from that day forward, Denir would push him to be something out of the ordinary. His senior year in High School is when a turning point in life arrived, his Grandmother passed and his older Brother was sentenced to 9 1/2 years in prison 2 months after, thus causing him to lose interest in football and turn to music to express his bottled feelings. "When I felt as if no one understood me, I would always turn to the music to take me away". That's exactly what his music has done for others with the same problems as he and can relate to the same topics. Going on 4 years strong recording on wax, he has seen nothing but his talent developing right before him. In 2008, he released his first project on Datpiff under the name "YungNFresh" and the title of the mixtape was, "Eastside Mayor", gaining him main attractions of open mic shows in his area and a couple emails from record label a & rs. Feeling he was too young and underdeveloped, he turned down the offers and chose to wait until he felt as if he was ready for the world. Changing his name to Ayjae Kool, which Ayjae arise from his middle initials A. J., turning it into a name after realizing that YungNFresh wasn't odd enough for him. "I'm not going to be young forever", after being asked why the name change. Kool describes his attitude and how he go about life, people always tell him, no matter how difficult things get in your life, every time I see you, you have this cool persona about yourself. Continuing with his music, May 2012 is when he dropped his sophomore street album entitled, "Famous Nobody", within it's first 3 days it had acquired 300 listens and a couple downloads on both, "Datpiff" & "Tweetmymixtape". Feeling this album could be the one that breaks him into the industry, he put all his time, effort and most of his money creating it, getting it pressed up and duplicated. Getting offers and invites to be interviewed on various internet radio shows and a couple local radio stations in his area off of the street album alone has him in awe. "I feel as if it was perfect timing, sometimes I surprise myself when it comes to music". 2012 is looking more and more like the year that this unsigned artist makes his break into the industry and on your radios.
