GRAFFITI INSPIRED BY THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE
The Kacao77 saga... - Tell us about your first Star Wars experience. Was it the movie or the toys? I can’t remember – it’s too long ago! When I was a kid I collected Star Wars stickers from Return of the Jedi album (it was never completed), and I also collected Star Wars toys. My first figure was Luke Skywalker in the X-Wing Fighters’ suit, and my very first spaceship was the X-Wing (without the red stickers, they didn’t come with the box, so my X-Wing was all white), and I had the Snow Speeder. I remember that at that time my younger brother had the Slave 1. We played with them for hours... - Best Star Wars moment? That is hard to answer – there are so many. I always liked the music. I still listen to the soundtracks and I like them a lot. When I finally got my first Millennium Falcon I was so happy (but it was not complete). Later I was very pleased to see new scenes edited into the old movies, and that they were remastered to THX. (At that time Star Wars came back to the toy stores with a lot of new items.) Until then I had only rented the movies, I have never owned the movies on video. So I went straight to the shop and bought the old Star Wars Trilogy when it was released on DVD – with bonus material! It was like seeing the movies for the first time, and the sound was perfect. I was very excited to see Jango Fett, Boba Fett and the Slave 1 in episode II – and the clones of course, and when episode III was released in 2005 the circle was complete. I also love the master replicas from Star Wars. I had a lot of lightsabers around 2005. At the moment I have some old and some new figures, and some spaceships. My favorite is still the Millennium Falcon. The new version is bigger than the old one. Four figures can sit in the cockpit in the new one, before there was only room for two. Now it’s too big and too heavy to play with but I still have a lot of fun with it, and I still have a lot of fun with my AT-AT. - Which Star Wars character is your favorite? My top three favorite Star Wars vehicles are 1: the Millennium Falcon, 2: the AT-AT, and 3: the Slave 1. It’s difficult to say which character is my favorite. I would say that it’s Boba Fett! - Favorite Star Wars Movie? Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

Few pop cultural phenomena have had a greater impact on youths these last decades than the Star Wars universe has had. Graff Wars will document the huge influence the Star Wars legacy has had on graffiti and many of its performers. The book will demon strate how one single phenomenon within a world wide pop culture is picked up, interpreted and given its own artistic expression. This book is a tribute to the generations who have been inspired and delighted by, and dedicated to George Lucas’ fantastic universe.
