about project Grey and Walnut The total floor area - 200 sq m Year of creation: 2014 Author of the project Yuriy Zimenko Location: Ukraine, Kiev Design Studio Yuriy Zimenko www.Zimenko.ua
A The main purpose of the planning was to connect the two apartments into one. As a result, guest area, which occupies about a third of the total area consists of a connected kitchen-dining-living room, guest bathroom and a room for housekeeper. The other space is a private area, which was divided into two parts: rooms of the boys, room and children’s bathroom, across the corridor - a master-bedroom, a bathroom and the owner’s wardrobe. At the same time, such a nuisance as a great number of supporting columns, the designer overcame completely in a skillful way: now they are totally invisible. In place of the balconies appeared spacious bathroom with panoramic windows: light and scope of review are regulated by louvre-boards. Photo: Andrey Avdeenko 2

Living Room
Wardrobe B1 The concept of the project consisted in a comfortable, minimalistic interior, which was entirely made of natural materials! Such as: a) wood; b) natural wool; c) stone. The challenge, which was set by a client was to do the interior in shades of gray and beige that would be cozy and warm.
C1 In our opinion, the proposed final image, should have been chosen by the client because of: a) functional planning; b) Divided areas, guest and private; c) The use of all natural materials; Implementation of all client’s wishes in a project: a) color palette; b) stylistic aspect and functionality, as well as the budget! 5

C2 I would like to draw attention to the use of the new Boiserie in wool and wood, opposite one another, stretched in a dynamic from large to smaller proportions. That creates room with no feeling of heavy, overloaded space and gives it lightness and dynamics. 6
