DAILY ACTIVITIES Game Groups Pinochle: A trick-taking game typically for two, three or four players and played with a 48 card deck. Each hand is played in three phases: bidding, melds, and tricks. Party Bridge: a trick-taking card game using 2 decks of cards played by four players in two competing partnerships sitting opposite each other around a table. The game consists of several hands (or deals) each progressing through four phases: dealing the cards, the auction (also referred to as bidding), playing the hand, and scoring the results. Texas Hold’em: A variation of the standard card game of poker. The game consists of two cards being dealt face down to each player and then five community cards being placed face-up by the dealer—a series of three ("the flop") then two additional single cards ("the turn" and "the river"), with players having the option to check, bet, raise or fold after each deal. Hand & Foot: The aim is to get rid of cards from your hand (11 cards), and then from your foot (11 cards), by melding them. A Meld is a set of three to seven cards of equal rank placed face up on the table. A Meld cannot have fewer than three cards.
