Facility Rentals Facility Rentals

Bear Creek Room Rentals Rent the rooms for Family Reunions, Wedding Receptions, Sweet 16, Business Socials, Baby Showers or any gathering you have planned!

The Keller Pointe has three single meeting/banquet rooms which may be combined to fit your needs. • Wild Rose Room • Double Springs Room • Cross Timbers Room

Contracts

Contracts for all facility rentals and parties must be completed and signed at time of booking along with payment.

Cancellation Policy for All Facility Rentals

A written cancellation notice signed by the applicant must be received at least thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled event in order for user to receive a full refund minus a $25 service charge. A forfeiture of the reservation fee will result if a user fails to provide a 30 day written cancellation notice.

Availability

Bear Creek Rooms are available for rental from 5:00 am to 1:00 am. (Note: The building closes at 10:00 pm Monday through Thursday, 9:00 pm Friday, 8:00 pm Saturday, and 6:00 pm Sunday after which extended hour fees will apply). The contract, deposit and half the rental must be paid at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the rental.

Deposits

A deposit of $100 is required on facility rentals, along with the completion of The Keller Pointe Facility Reservation contract and payment. The deposit will be refunded if the area used has been left in good order and all conditions of the contract have been met. An additional $150 deposit for alcohol consumption and/or teenage event is required, along with the cost and scheduling of a Keller police officer on site. All rentals are a minimum of two hours.

Pool Rentals

Rentals must be a minimum of two hours and are available before or after regular hours of operation. Events can begin 30 minutes after the pool closes to the public. Lifeguards are provided for every pool rental. Deposit of $100 required. Full payment and signed contract for rental required at the time of reservation.

Spend the night at The Keller Pointe! Each lock-in party includes eight hours of fun. Participants will have use of the gymnasium, indoor pool (limited time) and Bear Creek Rooms. The Keller Pointe can accommodate groups of up to 350 people. Call our customer service desk for more details. A $500 deposit is required for lock-ins. All rental policies apply. *Full payment and signed contract for rental required at the time of reservation.

Full Day CAMPS The Ultimate Summer Camp Experience! Let the Games Begin! Get ready to experience a summer of fun, excitement and sun! Campers will enjoy a full schedule of fun and exciting indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, talent shows and more! NO CAMP on JULY 4, 2014.

Both camps include a T-shirt and swimming in our indoor and outdoor leisure pools. Afternoon snack will be provided but please bring a non-refrigerated sack lunch. If registering for 3 or more day camps (traditional or themed), you must pay for the first 3 weeks of camp in full at the time of registration, plus a $25 non-refundable deposit for any additional weeks. All Camps must be paid for at least 2 weeks prior to the start date of camp or reservation for that camp will be forfeited. A 5-business day written notice is required to withdraw from camp, less the $25 deposit. If withdrawing less than 5-business days from start of camp, no refund is available. ***NEW Set Meal Plan available for an additional $25 per week. Ask the Customer Service Desk for lunch schedule. Blast from the Past

Come join the Keller Pointe and celebrate the decades past! Play traditional games such as 4-Square and Frisbee, bust a move at our Decades Dance party, dress your best for which ever era of your choosing and learn about famous historic events! Date Code June 9-13 20140

Youth Camps

We are putting a new spin on the traditional summer camp. The Themed Summer Camp will be specialized and follow a unique theme. All games, learning activities, crafts, etc. will be based on the specialization and theme for that week. The themed camps are intensely activity driven instead of field trip driven. Weekly schedules will be available to you on the Monday of each session. Please note that due to the complexity of the themed camps, schedules are subject to change.

Outdoor Adventure

Campers will spend each day on an adventurous outdoor experience. The week will be filled with discovery hikes and activities like archery, navigation, fishing and many more outdoor adventures. Wednesday, campers will get the opportunity to take a safari ride through Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and get an up close and personal view of Giraffes! Date Code June 16-20 20141

Pioneer Camp

Campers will be immersed in the daily activities of those who lived as a Texas Pioneer. Throughout the week campers will play games such as Cup and Ball, Dominoes, practice ‘roping a cow’, archery and much more. All Ball

Wizardry

Bring your Muggles to this week’s camp and watch them be transformed into Wizards. Campers will conjure up their own potions, wands, majestic creatures, and much more. Game Show Mania

1/2 Day CAMPS RARE Learning Film Making Camp

This is a five day video production camp that teaches digital video filming, editing principles, and production techniques. It is designed to generate an interest in critical observation and communications by engaging participants in the film making process. During camp, students will learn on-air confidence, script writing skills and get an introduction to production and editing. Students will learn the basics of pre-production, production and post – production process and will be preparing a short film. The camera, lighting, green screen and computer for class provided by RARE Learning. Lego Camp Using LEGO’s Simple and Motorized Mechanisms Set, campers will build and explore machines and mechanisms, investigate m o t o r i z e d machines, and study gearing mechanisms with this core brick set. Campers will also investigate the principles of simple machines, mechanisms, and structures; experiment with balanced and unbalanced forces and friction; measure distance, time, speed, and weight; and much more. Car Frenzy Camp

Using Pullback Car Frenzy’s kits campers will get the opportunity to solve and use creative thinking to build these vehicles. Students will build a different car each day and explore the concepts and laws of gravity and energy. Campers will be able to take one of their builds home with them at the end of the week. Everything Chocolate

In this class, you will become skilled in making and decorating chocolates. You will create (and decorate) filled chocolates, dipped chocolates, and dropped chocolates. You will create edible art pieces, including peanut butter cups, coconut haystacks, peanut drops, chocolate sculptures, flavored chocolates, bon bons, and much, much more. Finally an art camp where kids learn creative thinking instead of just crafts! In this four day session your young artists will complete eight amazing works of art featuring animals, flowers, landscapes and seascapes you’ll be proud to frame and display. Perspective drawing with charcoal and oil pastels, painting with oils, watercolors and acrylics well explained and explored by Certified Robert Garden School of Art Instructors. All art supplies are furnished, bring paper towels, snack and wear an old t-shirt. There is a $60 supply fee due to the instructor on the first day of class. Youth COED Sand Volleyball

This sand league is perfect for all of those players just wanting to have fun this summer. Gather all of your friends and come play at the Keller Sports Park Sand Volleyball pits. Participants will be split into two age groups; 8-10 & 11-14. Teams will have one practice a week and games will be played on Saturdays. Participants who want their child to “play up” (older age division) must coach. VOLUNTEER COACHES ARE NEEDED FOR EACH TEAM. NO GAMES July 4th weekend.

Youth Athletics/Programs The most advanced Flag Football curriculum available for elementary age players. It is the combination of a QB skills clinic and a traditional flag football program. This clinic teaches players the basics and more about the game of football. Players will memorize plays, routes and become familiar with football formations and basics. This program is taught by local Varsity level players and College athletes. We also allow time at the end of each program for a scrimmage game. Tippy Toes Ballet

Babygarten

This class is perfect for both Mommy and Baby! An opportunity for working moms to experience the “mommy & me� class. Babies will learn and play in both an organized and independent environment, while mothers get the chance to meet other mothers in their community. Course

The Purpose of the American Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguarding Course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. This course will also provide the necessary training in order to operate A. E. D. and Oxygen equipment. PARTICIPENTS MUST ATTEND ALL CLASS SESSIONS. 1. Must be 15 years of age on or before the final scheduled class date. 2. Swim 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both. Swim goggles may be used. Use of backstroke and or sidestroke is not allowed. 3. Candidates must be able to tread water for 2 minutes using only their legs. 4. Complete the following timed event within 1 minute and 40 seconds. a. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. Face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles may not be used. b. Surface dive, feet first or head first, to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10 pound object. c. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point with both hands holding the object and keeping the face near the surface so that they are able to take a breath. Candidates should not swim the distance under water. Exit the water without use of a ladder or steps. Mother/Son “I Scream” Social

This fun event is just for moms and their sons at the outdoor water park at The Keller Pointe. Create special memories swimming and playing at the outdoor pool and enjoy an ice cream sundae party. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Tickets are $5 per person for moms and sons ages 4 to 12 years old. Date Time July 12 6:30pm-8:00pm

Cardboard Boat Regatta

Grab your refrigerator boxes and your duct tape because the cardboard boat races are coming to the Keller Pointe! Teams are challenged to get creative and construct a floating contraption (taped seams and waterproofing are allowed), and navigate it across the indoor lap lanes. Teams will consist of a captain, a first mate and up to a two-person support team. Judging will be based on design/creativity, team spirit and speed. There will even be a Titanic Award for the best of those that don’t finish. (Captain and first mate must be able to sit in and navigate the contraption across the lap lanes). Annual Memberships

Benefits of The Keller Pointe Membership Registering as a member of The Pointe is the best way to take advantage of all The Pointe has to offer. Members have access to all non instructional activities, fitness equipment, the running/walking track, gymnasium, indoor and outdoor aquatic centers and locker room facilities.

Definition of a Family A family constitutes at least one, no more than two, adult heads of household and his/her dependents that are 23 years of age or younger in school or living at home. It also includes persons with special needs living as a single housekeeping unit at the same address.

Medical Freeze

In the event of a medical condition that prevents you from utilizing The Pointe, members may freeze their annual membership for $10/month by providing a doctor’s statement. Once a doctor’s release is obtained to return to the facility, the membership will be reactivated for the length of time it was frozen. If patron has a family membership and elects to freeze the membership, the entire family will be frozen. Medical freezes must take place within 30 days of the medical condition arising. Expired memberships are not eligible for medical freeze. We also offer other account freezes. See our service desk for eligibility requirements.

Daily Admission

If you choose not to become a member of The Pointe, you may still enjoy the amenities of this great facility by paying the Daily Admission. The Daily Admission allows you entrance to all non instructional activities in the fitness center, indoor and outdoor aquatic centers, gymnasium, track, and locker rooms on the day of purchase. Every person entering the facility without a membership, must pay the Daily Admission.

Your annual membership is good for one year from the date of purchase. As an Annual Member, you will receive all of the wonderful benefits mentioned earlier. An annual membership is the most economical way to take advantage of all The Pointe has to offer. Annual Fee-Non-refundable For individuals choosing to purchase an annual membership by paying for one year in full, the membership is non-refundable with the exception of the 30-day Opt Out Period. 30-day Opt Out Period All annual members have 30 days from the date of purchase to request an annual fee refund. One month, at the monthly rate, and a $60 service charge will be deducted from the annual fee refund account. After 30 days, no refund is available. Annual Fee Transfers Individual or family annual members may transfer their membership to another individual or family. If the individual or family receiving the annual membership is a non-resident, the receiving party will be required to pay the difference between the resident annual membership fee and the non-resident annual fee. If a non-resident annual member is transferring their annual membership to a resident of the City of Keller, there is no refund for the price difference.

Rain Check Policy

In the event of aquatic facility operation suspension due to inclement weather or maintenance, a guest can exchange their ticket for a rain check only if the guest has been present at the facility for less than two hours. Management reserves the right to suspend operation and/or close the facility at any time and initiate the rain check policy. If the indoor pool is able to stay open while the outdoor pool is closed, the rain check policy will not apply.

The Keller Pointe Class Locations The location for all classes, activities, programs, and events are at The Keller Pointe unless otherwise noted. Where to register Participants may register for classes, activities, programs, and events online, over the phone or at The Keller Pointe during operational hours. Registrations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Registration Deadline Participants are encouraged to register for classes as early as possible. Go online to www.thekellerpointe.com to register. Class Makeup Policy If it is necessary to cancel a class because of inclement weather, The Keller Pointe Customer Service staff will notify all participants at least one hour before class is scheduled to begin when possible. You may call The Keller Pointe at 817.743.4FUN. If a swim lesson is cancelled, The Keller Pointe aquatic staff will contact you within 24 hours to reschedule. Any group class missed will not be made up. Class Refund or Transfer Policy When a class is cancelled due to low enrollment or other circumstances, you may be offered a transfer to another class or receive a full refund. Participant initiated refunds and transfers will only be granted when a participant: a) submits a transfer or refund request at least 5 business days prior to the starting date of the course; b) moves from the area and notifies The Keller Pointe at least 5 business days prior to the course start date; or c) becomes ill, in which case a doctor’s statement must be presented upon request. If a refund/ transfer is not requested to be applied to Keller Pointe merchandise or program within 90 days, the refund/transfer will be forfeited. Safety Procedure In order to keep our facility safe, any patron possessing a weapon, or object determined by The Keller Pointe staff to pose a potential threat to persons or property, will be denied admission and/or required to leave the premises without refund. The Keller Pointe staff may at any point contact the Keller Police Department to assist in the enforcement of this procedure.

City of Keller’s Accessibility Information If you plan to attend any classes, workshops, or special events and have a disability that requires special assistance, please contact the ADA Coordinator 48 hours in advance, at 817-743-4041, and reasonable accommodations will be made to assist you in compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act. The Hearing Impaired may contact the ADA Coordinator through Texas Relay at 1‑800‑735‑2989. 30

Gift Cards The Pointe Gift Cards may be purchased for any amount, and may be used toward program registration, membership, concessions, personal training, guest admissions, rentals and Pointe merchandise. Gift Cards are available at the Service Desk. Inclement Weather Policy Lightning poses a serious risk of injury in our aquatic facilities, including the indoor facilities. Due to the seriousness of this issue, the following inclement weather policy applies for all aquatic facilities: When lightning occurs, the pools will be closed. If the lightning and inclement weather continues for more than thirty minutes, the pools will remain closed and The Keller Pointe staff will attempt to reopen the pools later in the day. This policy is in effect until one hour prior to the facility’s official closing time. Aquatic Training Please be advised that The Keller Pointe lifeguards take part in active training during operating hours. In the event that there is a training exercise, the aquatic staff will notify all patrons. A Word To Parents... The Keller Pointe staff strives to maintain the highest standards in emergency training. Our goal is to provide patrons with a safe and clean atmosphere in which families can enjoy themselves in a recreational environment. The purpose of the staff is not to supervise your child, but to prevent accidents from happening. Therefore, parents are expected to closely supervise their children and assist in enforcing the facility’s policies for the safety and enjoyment of all patrons. All children, ages nine years and under, must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a paying adult (at least 16 years or older). Photography Policy Photographs are occasionally taken of participants and are used to promote our City Parks and Recreation Programs. If you prefer that you or your child not be photographed, please notify the photographer.
