Write down everything you can remember on a piece of paper, then your mind is free to think and not just trying to retain everything.
Testing Strategies:
It doesn’t matter how stupid you think your question is, your teacher wants to help you! (Chances are, somebody else has the SAME question!)
6
Keep an eye on the clock. Make sure you’ll have enough time to complete the test sections with the highest value, if not the entire test.
2
Try to supply your own answer before choosing one on the test.
Recheck that all your answers are bubbled. Even if you don’t know an answer, still guess; it’s better than nothing at all!
1
Read the directions carefully. Ask any questions if you don’t understand or need clarification.
Pick the answer that’s closest to yours.
4
Eliminate the obviously wrong answers.
3
Find all of the important details.
5
Write legibly. Leave some space so you can add to your answer, later.
This would be main ideas and conflicts.

The Titanic
Take a trip with ‘The Ship That Couldn’t Sink’ as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the beauty we call the Titanic. On April 15, 1912 a ship set sail for the waters of New York from Southampton England. Not knowing what their fates would be, the 2228 passangers took to the seas and went on a historical voyage that endded in a great tragedy. This month marks the 100th anniversary of the earth shattering event. Celebrations all around the world are taking place in honor of the lives that were lost on the ‘Ship That Couldn’t Sink’.

Events Commemorating
the Anniversary Setting sail again:
A Titanic Memorial Cruise is setting sail on a week-long adventure just like the Titanic! But don’t worry; the event list does not include colliding into an iceberg. The passengers will be completely safe and sound as they sail the seven seas in a real-life replica of the Titanic. The passengers will be living life vicariously as a former 1912 Titanic voyager. The passengers will be listening to the same music, eating the same cuisine and participating in the same events as the famous passengers did 100 years before.
As seen in theatres: The movie made $600,788,188 while in theatres and is now showing for a second time. The movie will be played not only in it’s original state, but also in IMAX 3D. The screenings will begin on April 5, 2012. Start practicing your flank diving!
Walk in their footsteps: The Houston Museum of Natural Science is hosting the Titanic Exhibit where you can walk through a daily life of an actual passenger! Upon entering the exhibit, you are given a ticket with a name of an actual passenger from the original voyage. Through the tour you are given a taste of life on the ship and at the end of the tour, you find out if your passenger survived the wreck. The exhibit runs until September 3 and tickets cost $27 Page by: Shalini Maharaj

Prom Checklist
• Take your dress in for any alterations needed • Break in your shoes. Walk around the house in them to get used to wearing them for long periods of time • No dress is complete without the proper accessories. Make sure you get jewelry and anything else you need. • Be sure to remind your date to pick up your corsage. • Don’t forget to order your date a boutonniere (you know that little flower in his lapel? yeah that one) • Make sure you call to confirm the time for your hair, nails, and make-up • Get with your group and finalize your pre-prom and post-prom plans • Keep up your exercise routine and continue your healthy eating • Start going to bed a few minutes earlier, you don’t want to look tired for the big night
The Week of... • Purchase those last minute items: panty hose (two pairs, just in case), bobby pins, a couple mints for your purse, etc. • Put your tickets in a place you won’t lose them • Finalize transportation arrangements • Try on your dress and dance around to make sure everything stays in its proper place (you wouldn’t want to pull a Janet Jackson) • Most importantly, RELAX and get to bed by 11.00 PM (it’s called “beauty sleep” for a reason).

D.I.Y Projects: Here are some ways you can change up your room and make it your own
His Get a cool bed: Create the look of having a platform bed by taking four pieces of sturdy wood and making it into a frame. Make it smaller than your matress. Then take a piece of plywood and make a stable top for your matress to go on. This gives the illustion that your bed is “floating”!
Get your game on:
Mirrors make your room look bigger!
Need to organize your gaming space? Take your games and put them on a shelf. This will help with clutter around the tv and there won’t be anything to dissrupt you from your 32 killstreak on MW3. Also, you can get a small table (depending on weather or not it fits in your space) for all your snacking needs durring a game night with your friends. 14 pause

Hers Decorate your walls: Create an accent wall by putting a cool center piece above your bed. Take a plain white or colored sheet (whichever would look best in your room) and drape it over your headboard to make it look like a canopy bed without having to spend all the money!
Put your favotire lyrics on your wall!
Study corner:
Create a great studying area by taking a desk and adding shelves to it. This will give you some books space or you can just put some knick-knack’s on display. Also, make sure to have some form of light for late-night studying sessions. You can get a cheap lamp that works the same at Wal-Marttm.
