concept In contemporary cities the movements of products and people take place in the ground, in the level 0.0. Berman believes that the ground is a small scale of contemporary life. In public spaces the people meet by change. Moreover, not only do arbitrary meetings happen but also it is possible for anybody to face criminality. In the movie “metropolis� the movement in the ground is replaced by the movement in the higher levels. Could you imagine a movement where the people come across others in different levels? We took two existent blocks in Athens and we recreate a new urban development. In the new city planning there are these traits: _ Vertical movement through the existing elevators, corridors and staircases _ Public spaces in different levels _ New reforms and rearrangements in blocks
