Why do Courage, Confidence and Compassion matter? “We bring up the children for the future, not for the present, not that we may enjoy the fruit of our work, but for others, for God, for the Church, for their parents, for their home life. …therefore it is better to begin a great work than to finish a small one.” Janet Erskine Stuart, RSCJ

INSPIRING SACRED HEART STUDENTS

VALUES THE FIVE GOALS OF A SACRED HEART EDUCATION In support of our vision, our Sacred Heart Education is based on the following goals:

• A personal and active faith in God • A deep respect for intellectual values • The building of community as a Christian value • A social awareness which impels to action • Personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom. Our School is a Catholic school and is part of the international Sacred Heart network of schools founded by St Madeleine Sophie Barat in France in 1800. The School was founded in 1882 and we have a strong educational tradition that underpins the education we provide for our students today. KRB is an ELC to 12 school with a co-educational Junior School and girls only 7 to 12 day and boarding school. At Kincoppal – Rose Bay we are focused on the whole student – Our motto, Cor Unum, embodies educating both the Heart and Mind to develop each student’s integrity. We prepare each student for the future by developing confidence, compassion, resilience and perseverance in an environment of faith, intellectual challenge, love, community, opportunity and personal growth.
