For All Saints Autumn Winter 2016, I have decided to explore a concept based on architectural fragmentation and abandonment. I have reflected this through looking at photographers’ works and exploring cities to gain inspiration. One of main inspirational points comes from gothic architecture so I have looked at a lot of cathedrals. I took into consideration the structured elongation and textural juxtaposition of intricate archways and vaults.
What I have set out to achieve is to use the idea of engineered ribs and racking and playing with placements in order to mimic the shape of these vaults.
