There is a major problem when it comes to labeling a bottle of essential oil, as the ‘organic’, ‘100% pure’, ‘natural,’ label, is not regulated in North America. An organic label in regards to Essential Oils only pertains to how a plant is grown. During the distillation process oils may be adulterated and diluted with synthetic substances yet bare a label of organic/pure. If a bottle of oil contains just 5% essential oil, by current law it can be labeled as 100% Pure Essential Oil. Yikes!
