ecognizing the importance of establishing one systematic database on buffalo information, the Philippine Carabao Center, an attached agency of the Department of Agriculture of the Philippines, takes the initiative to develop the International Buffalo Knowledge Resource Service (IBKRS), as a web-based electronic source of information on selected quality technical buffalo researches. Its geographic coverage is international in scope with emphasis on countries with long years of established and reputable buffalo research information facilities.

its PURPOSE IBKRS aims to become a one-stop-hub
of all aspects of buffalo information, and serves as a gateway to all web-based research sources of information such as institutions and organizations, buffalo scientists, technical journal publishers/databases and others. It shall gather, in one large database, all available buffalo information, studies and researches, and organized these standardized topics, subjects, and or keywords known to all buffalo scientists and researchers, and make it widely and readily accessible across the internet and world wide web (www.ibkrs.net).
