FITNESS CENTER ETIQUETTE The following Policies are in place to keep all of our members and guests safe. Access to the Fitness Center is restricted to guests 16 years of age or older (ID required), unless enrolled in a Fitness Center class Teen members ages 14 & 15 may access the fitness center after completing a 1-hour teen fitness orientation. Available the first and third Tuesday of each month. Members and guests are asked to carry identification and membership cards or day passes at all times. All guests must have a signed facility waiver on file. Towels are required for every person working out in the Fitness Center. Towels may be purchased at the gymnasium guest service desk for $4 (subject to availability). There is a 20-minute maximum usage time per machine during peak use periods. Classes are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. Appropriate exercise attire required (workout clothing and closed-toe athletic shoes). No jeans please.

A Kroc Gift card will be issued for all approved cancellation requests & may be obtained from Guest Services. Kroc Center Gift Cards are redeemable at all venues, good as cash. Gift Cards are not linked to a customer account; customer must have the actual card in order to redeem for a purchase. Please treat the card as cash as lost cards are not replaced. Cancellation requests must be submitted within 90 days following date of purchase. A $10 administrative fee is assessed for all requests submitted after the start of the class/program. Gift Cards will be pro-rated to reflect any sessions attended by student (ie: if cancellation is submitted after the student attended 2 of the 6 class meetings). LOST & FOUND POLICY All items left in the Kroc Center will be collected & stored behind the Guest Services Desk in the venue in which they were found. Smaller items are kept in a box for safe keeping. Staff will attempt to contact individuals in the case that a name is associated with the lost item. Each Sunday, all items remaining will be bagged with a label noting the week, stored for an additional week, then donated. In consideration of conservation & serving member needs, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner) are held to loan out & towels in good condition are washed & held to loan out or used for cleaning.

LOCKER USAGE Lockers are for day use only. Members & guests may bring their own lock each day and take their belongings home after exercising. Rental lockers are available at an $8 monthly rate. Items left in day use lockers will be removed & stored, with the locker number noted, in a similar fashion as lost & found items. For rental lockers with expired rental plans the renter will be contacted with number on file and the locker tagged with a reminder notice to have belongings removed by a specified date. After this date the items will be bagged, labeled & stored for one month prior to donating. ADULT SUPERVISION Children ages 10 & under must be accompanied by an adult (18 years and older) during all activities. Children ages 6 & over must use gender appropriate locker rooms. Parents that wish to stay with a young child of the opposite gender may use the Family Changing Room. Please see the Gymnasium Guest Services for the key. The Fitness Area is reserved for those ages 16 and older, unless participating in a Kroc Center program or class. PETS With the exception of service animals, pets of any kind are not allowed in any Kroc Center venue.

Karate Ages 5+ The Kroc Center offers Karate in the Traditional style Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts. Led by Sensei Russ Eggleston and Victoria Johnson, Cuong Nhu is a martial art that blends the basic elements of a number of different styles. Cuong Nhu students explore not just technical, but also mental and spiritual aspects of training. Led by Instructor Jake Ore 6th Degree Black Belt with over 30 years Tae Kwon Do experience, This class is designed to offer a challenging aerobic workout while learning traditional Tae Kwon Do techniques and forms. Self defense, long staff and short sticks are also included in the workouts. Intended for people looking for a physically and mentally challenging experience. From beginner to advanced. TIPS FOR SAFE & HEALTHY SWIMMING •All swimmers using the Competition pool, diving boards, and AquaClimb must pass a 25-meter swim test. See Lifeguard to arrange test. •Lap swimming is for children ages 12 and over and adults. •Swimming attire required.Cotton clothing is not allowed. •Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water. •All children age 3 and under are required to wear swim diapers and plastic pants. •Kroc approved life jackets available for check out at the lifeguard office. Photo I.D.or membership card required. •During periods of peak usage, pools may be closed for short periods to conduct required maintenance. •Please shower, and use the restroom before swimming. Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Exercise (Basic & PLUS) Classes include a series of pool activities led by certified Arthritis Foundation instructors. Participants are guided through a selection of 85 movements designed by exercise specialists, geared to reduce the pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. With the aid of water’s buoyancy and resistance, participants improve flexibility, strength and range of motion. Swimming skills are not required. Location: Therapy Pool

Deep Water Workout Fast-paced, no-impact class designed to build cardiovascular strength while creating muscle tone. Participants must feel comfortable in deep water. Location: Competition Pool

Wall, Core & More A challenging cardio & toning workout with zero impact on the lower body. This is bootcamp in the deep water! Participants must be comfortable working on the wall & jogging in deep water. Location: Competition Pool

WATER FITNESS A low impact water exercise class with the goal of elevating your heart rate in our warm water recreation pool with a guided, fun and challenging workout. Location: Recreation Pool

Walk a Mile A low impact water exercise class with the goal of walking a mile in each class. This class combines the benefits of muscle strengthening. core balance & endurance. Location: Recreation Pool

Learn to Swim JOIN OUR KROC LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM! We provide swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. Group Lessons are 25 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for transition and parent communication, unless otherwise noted. See our Kroc Learn to Swim brochure for more details.

Aqua Avengers Adult Swim Workout Program Whether you are a fitness enthusiast, serious competitor, or a triathlete, Aqua Avengers is designed to help improve your swim workout through stroke refinement and exercises adjusted to meet your ability level. Toddler Splash Tuesdays Bring your favorite floaties, toys & toddlers on Tuesdays for a splash of a time in our heated outdoor pool. (No inflatable water wings). Dates:Tuesdays, September 2 – mid June 2015 Fee: Free- Members/ $4- non-member youth (parents free) Time: 10am – 1pm Ages: 6 months -5 years, accompanied by an adult over 18 years. Adults must be in the water with children. Toddlers 3 & under must wear swim diapers. FREE For guests on the last Tuesday of each month!

Sunday Funday & Friday Family Fun Nights Dr. Pete Andersen Pre-Aqua Avengers Pete has over 50 years’ experience teaching all ages to swim. He is a Masters Swimming World Record holder, 21time Senior Olympics Gold Medalist & the author of “Teach Yourself to Swim Like a Pro- In One Minute Steps.” Dr. Andersen has volunteered his time at the Kroc Center to share his passion for life-long swimming.

Marion Seeley Aqua Avengers Marion has 10 years of competitive swimming experience. She has coached everything from recreational swimmers to high school & private club teams & tri-athletes. Marion is currently certified with USA Swimming. She is extremely passionate about helping swimmers of all ability levels achieve their goals in the water.

CAST

College Area Swim Team USAS sanctioned team providing competitive swimming opportunities for youth ages 5 - 18 years. Participants must attend an evaluation practice to be assigned a practice level. Our indoor Skatepark contains elements that challenge both the beginner and advanced skateboarder. For maximum safety, kneepads, elbow pads and a helmet are required for all skaters 17 years old and under. Helmets are required for skaters 18 years and up.

The Kroc Center’s co-ed Youth Basketball League is designed to help improve sports skills while emphasizing fun, sportsmanship, teamwork, and determined play. Players will be split up into four different teams within their respective age-groups. Competitive balance will be sought while creating each team. Players must be the age indicated by 12/6/14 in order to enroll within that age group.

Athletic based movement activities tailored for younger children. Parents are welcomed as participants, and each day will focus on creating a safe, fun environment where the child can learn vital developmental skills.

Practices will occur on Mondays and Wednesdays with games on Saturdays.

Rockwall Routes Spice up your climbing. In order to make the Rockwall more exciting, the rock wall team will be adding a variety of courses in the upcoming months. Ask our staff to discover more about this fun program!

ROCKWALL

The Basketball Skills Clinic will focus heavily on offensive skills, footwork, and fundamentals with the goal of building better basketball players. Players receive instruction and intensive high repetition skills training to improve their basketball skills and accelerate player development. The clinic is designed to develop the fundamental skills of shooting, offensive techniques, ball handling and passing. No Skills Clinic: 11/28

Class Times: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, each Saturday Fees: $60 Members / $80 Non-members Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment.
