what do you love about snowboarding?
Forum Snow has been a revolutionary presence in the world of snowboarding.
The electric snowboarding boom of the mid 90’s inspired Forum founder and snowboarding legend Peter Line to create a company that would become an industry powerhouse with their cutting edge product development, unconventional marketing, and boundary pushing snowboard films featuring the Forum 8, an all-star team of riders. Forum was and is driven by the power of collaboration, community, creativity and a little bit of rule breaking glued together by an undying love for snowboarding and the people we share it with.
by riders, for riders.
snowboarding? so... what do you lo about
Because if there’s any contender for the best part of snowboarding that resonates with all snowboarders - from the freshest of beginners, to the everyday rider, all the way up to the pros at the top of their game -
it’s the friends we make along the way.
The new graphic elements include TV static seen in old VHS tapes and home movies, as well as Polaroid picture frames and custom disposable camera photo filters to invoke a feeling of nostalgia without detracting from the clean modernity found in the type program and layout schemes. The cutout mouth/speech bubble and hand drawn arrow accents give the overall design a handcrafted feel reminiscent of a scrapbook you put together with friends, but is also a subtle nod to the love, time, and intention that Forum puts into making each one of their products.
The new color palette is derived from the new graphic elements and the bold, vibrant neons capture the energy and youthfulness of the Forum brand.
Forum’s new type program aims to capture a bold sense of playfulness, creativity, and rebellion balanced with the established professionalism the company has sustained over their extensive history in the snowboarding industry.
From a font mimicking the handwriting of John Frusciante, the legendary guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to two clean sans-serifs, Forum’s type program is a balanced combination of polished and rough around the edges.

To redesign Forum’s logo, the utilization of the iconic font from the punk band Discharge for the typographic logo incorporates Forum’s longstanding spirit of rebellion .
The new symbolic logo resembles a pile of snowboards like you might find outside of a mountainside dive bar after a long day of shredding with your friends.
Both the typographic and symbolic logo can support a number of interchangable patterns, color schemes, stroke weights, and sizes.
