Miss Woods: Beloved—Toni Morrison A beautifully written novel, exploring the heart break and trauma of runaway slaves in 19th Century America - I’ve struggled to tear myself away from this story!

Bethany Cooper, 7S: The Divide

Will you go “selfie” like Miss Woods or crazy like Bethany?

It’s a book about a boy who faints over the continental divide, waking up in a fantasy world where magic is real. My favorite character is Betony, who is a tangle-child (elf).

Write a book review and send it in. - Recommend your fellow Year 7s (and us teachers!) a new book - it’ll make our day! - Why not write a letter to an author about one of their books? - “I loved your book BUT…” and pick something you would have done differently.
