Message from Miss Reed
As we move into the second half of the academic year I would like to remind everyone of our continued expectations regarding uniform and equipment. Students should continue to wear full uniform and their PE kit with a blazer on those days that students have PE lessons.

Having the correct equipment every day is vital which should include a Maths set with calculator as well as a reading book which supports our literacy programme with students having 20 minutes’ DEAR time every day. I would encourage students to check their equipment regularly and replace anything that they are missing.
This weekend is the second of our Manchester City trips taking place where a large amount of Year 7 students are heading to Manchester to have a tour around the Old Trafford stadium, visit the National Football Museum, have a game of bowling with friends and then finally watch Manchester City Play. I would like to wish all of those on the trip a great time and I am looking forward to taking the next group in May.
I would like to inform you that the Year 7 Parents Evening has been moved to slightly later on in the Year and will now take place on Thursday 4th May. Communication will be sent out nearer the time with finer details on how to book appointments with subject teachers. In the meantime, if you do have any subject queries, please feel free to contact your son/daughter's class teacher.
As always if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact academic mentors or myself (hreed@rodingvalley.net)

I would like to wish everyone a great weekend.
