Problem /Purpose map

Before visualizing any ideas through sketching, it seemed relevant to evaluate the research and to identify major pain points. In this map, I highlighted problems that design meets and might solve.

All these points are crucial for the project, but most attention will be paid to “Free the palm” point as a core of the design. Another essential direction to investigate is making the product extendable for several sizes of cups. In this case, additional

research is required.

Although there were no bold restrictions for relevant materials, it seems that it will be challenging to

utilize only natural sources for the final design. An

additional challenge is a necessity to offer a solution for lid+straw+cup that could complete the design.
