Pine Oaks to debut new website! Pine Oaks Golf Course’s new interactive, playful and informative website should be ready to launch sometime in May. “We wanted to create a site that utilizes current technology and employs ease of use,” said Johnson City’s Golf Professional Mike Jennings. “We want to cater more to the technology that’s out there, such as mobile phones and digital.” The second phase, which could be finished by fall, will include a link where tee times can be scheduled from computers and smartphones. Those visiting the website will discover options, such as videos and interactive golf-centered choices, including a virtual tour of the entire course. Links to the complete history of Pine Oaks, old photos, newspaper clippings and galleries where players and visitors can reflect on past tournaments also will be offered. Visitors also will be able to get on an email list, which will deliver information and news about upcoming events. The new website also will offer a vibrant visual experience, and home page content will rotate on a regular basis to keep things fresh. Keep your ears and eyes open about the new digital-friendly venture aimed at making the experience easier and more rewarding Patrons and visitors should continue using Pine Oaks’ home page at www.johnsoncitygolf.org. Direction will be given in the weeks to come about any changes. For more information, call Pine Oaks Golf Course at 423-434-6250.
