Luncheon Honors Superheroes! The annual Senior Services Volunteer Luncheon offered 107 community volunteers a chance to laugh along with a ventriloquist, enjoy a free meal and chat with staff inside Memorial Park Community Center. The volunteers were rewarded for their clerical and data entry work inside the building, as well as their singing and instrument playing provided to members of the community. Guests sat at brightly colored tables. And a cartoonish but impactful backdrop was set up for entertainer Kyle Scribner from Sevierville, as well as greetings and thanks from city officials. Staff dressed up as various superheroes to emulate the volunteer’s qualities. Black, for example, represented consistency; red, commitment.
