JCSC Foundation News The Johnson City Senior Center Foundation needs your help. We have set a goal of providing 250 Christmas boxes filled with food and other household supplies to low income seniors in our community. Not only do we provide the boxes, we also deliver them to the seniors. Our delivery date is December 19th starting at 8:00am and we need
volunteers to help in their delivery. Look at your calendars and see if you are available to help deliver. If you can, please see staff to sign up. If you can’t deliver there are other opportunities by either making a donation or helping to pack the boxes. You won’t ever regret giving of your time or dollars to those in need.
Please call 434-5723, 48 hours in advance to reserve a meal or if you need to cancel a meal that you have already signed up for. Sign up sheets are also available outside of the dining room.

Dominion Senior Living of Johnson City Ava’s Angels As the holidays near, we are reminded of family gatherings, traditions, and things we are thankful for. One thing we are thankful for here at Dominion is people that remind us of God’s many blessings. Last year, in memory of their wives, Ava bought three of our residents an angel ornament to place on the community Christmas tree. Ava recognized that this was the first Christmas season without their wives and wanted to do something special. These ornaments have started a new tradition in which they will be the first ornaments placed on the tree every year. The angels symbolize our residents’ wives as their guardian angels; with them wherever they go. We are so thankful for Ava and her desire to honor our residents, their memories, and their families.
