Senior Lifestyles

Nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of our members and participants. Every step we have taken has been with this goal in mind. The center has been deep cleaned and sanitized. Some areas of the center may look different compared to the last time you were there but we are excited to reopen and see you … you’ve been missed!

Really Important Things to Know! 1. You must pre-register for all activities by calling: 423-434-6237. 2. Center hours during phase one are 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Checking into the center is going to be a little different from what you have experienced in the past and may take a few extra minutes. 1. Enter at the recreation/aquatics entrance only. 2. You will be asked the following screening questions:

a. Have you had any direct contact with anyone known to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

b. Have you been advised by a healthcare provider or agency to self- quarantine within the past 14 days?

c. Do you have any of these symptoms?

• Cough • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing • Chills • Recent loss of taste or smell • Body aches • Headache • Sore throat • Vomiting • Diarrhea 3. If you answer yes to any of the above questions, you will not be permitted to enter the center, and we will ask that you follow up with your physician. 4. All individuals will have a temperature check using a touchless infrared thermometer. If your temperature is greater than 100.4F, you will not be allowed to enter. 5. Masks are required to enter the center. Children 12 years old and younger and adults with breathing issues are exempt. 6. Adults will be required to sign a COVID-19 waiver. 7. A staff person will verify your class reservation and log you into the system. 8. You will be asked to use hand sanitizer before going to your class or program and upon leaving the center. 9. Hand sanitizer is located throughout the center.

Page 5

10. Time in the building will be no longer than 90 minutes per morning or afternoon session. 11. Individuals using the pool will exit next to the activities room (turn right when leaving the pool area). All other participants (adults and children) will exit the building through the Senior Center main lobby (covered drive-through area). Directional signs will be in place.

Cleaning & Sanitizing While cleanliness and sanitization always have been important to us, we are placing an even greater emphasis on these areas. 1. We have increased the number of hand sanitizing stations within the center. 2. Sanitizing wipes are available in the fitness room and during fitness classes to wipe down the equipment before and after use. Sanitizing wipes will also be available in the billiards room to wipe down the balls and racks. 3. Staff will be cleaning high-touch areas throughout the day. 4. The Gathering Room is closed during this phase to reduce the number of high-touch points. We know you have missed the social interaction with folks, but we want to keep you safe. 5. Please bring your own water. The fountains and refill stations are turned off. 6. Complimentary coffee and tea is currently unavailable. The coffee bar will remain closed indefinitely. 7. No food is allowed in the center at this time. 8. Maintenance staff will sanitize the building each night after closing.
