Sunflower Festival in Mountain City

Saturday, July 8th Leave MPCC at 10am, return approx. 3pm

Join us as we visit the annual Sunflower Festival fun in downtown Mountain City! Arts, Craft, Food, Live Music and Entertainment, and so much more! Lunch on your own at the festival. Limited seating, no refunds. Register by July 7th.

Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair

Cost: $1 for transportation, $10 cash to be paid at Convention Center for entry to Fair

Tuesday, July 11th Leave MPCC at 9am, return approx. 6pm (Ages 50+)

This is a fantastic opportunity to see and purchase all sorts of handmade products in one location as well as see how many of them are made as craftsmen often make their products and do demonstrations at the Gatlinburg Craftsman Fair!

If you are not interested in the Craft Fair, you can shop in downtown Gatlinburg for the day. Lunch will be on your own. We will leave Gatlinburg at 4:00p. Limited seating, no refunds. Registration begins June 30th.

Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum

Cost: $1 (Ages 50+)

Wednesday, July 19th Leave MPCC at 8:00am, return approx. 4:00pm

The Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum is located on 47 acres of former Howell Nurseries, featuring walking trails, display gardens, unique & historic horticulture and over two miles of distinctive stone walls and timeless buildings. Lunch will be on you own afterwards. Limited seating, no refunds.

Shady Oaks Garden Club Flower Show

Cost: $1 for transportation (50+)

Thursday, August 10th Leave MPCC at 2:00, return approx. 4:00pm

The show will be held at Atelier 133 and will feature artistic designs, displays of plants and flowers, artistic crafts using plant material and educational exhibits. There will also be an art exhibit by two local artists in the gallery. Please Register by August 9th.

Line Dance with Martha

(Upper Beginner/Intermediate Level)

Instructor: Martha Davenport Mondays, 3 – 4:30pm (Ages 12+)

Cost: $6 or (Discount for SilverSneakers®, Renew Active™, and Silver & Fit® if eligible)

For those wanting to brush up their line dance steps or learn new line dances. You will be having so much fun, you won’t even realize that you are exercising! Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Dandy Line Dancers

This is a volunteer group, which not only practices during this time frame; they also perform in the community. For the experienced line dancer.

Lovin’ Line Dance

Come join the fun and meet new friends while getting a great mental and physical workout!

Our class is a great fit if you enjoy dancing at the beginner/ improver level. Experience with basic line dance steps is strongly recommended.
