Jonesborough Repertory Theatre: The Foreigner Saturday, March 10, Leave MPCC at 1:15 p; return approx. 6:30p Cost: $16 per person The scene is a fishing lodge in rural Georgia often visited by “Froggy” LeSeuer, a British demolition expert who occasionally runs training sessions at a nearby army base. This time “Froggy” has brought along a friend, a pathologically shy young man named Charlie who is overcome with fear at the thought of making conversation with strangers. So “Froggy,” before departing, tells all assembled that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no English. Once alone the fun really begins, as Charlie overhears more than he should—the evil plans of a sinister, two-faced minister and his redneck associate; the fact that the minister’s pretty fiancée is pregnant; and many other damaging revelations made with the thought that Charlie doesn’t understand a word being said. What he does fuels the nonstop hilarity of the play and sets up the wildly funny

Dominion Senior Living of Johnson City Ray Stamper’s Poetry Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words. For Ray Stamper, writing poetry is second nature. His interest began at a young age publishing his first book in 1958 at 27 years old. From then on, Ray has been able to use his feelings and emotions to create words of beauty. He has completed 2 additional books since then. We believe creativity may run in the family as his granddaughter, Deanna Steinle, published a children’s book in 2015. We are truly blessed that this family has chosen to share this wonderful talent with our community.
