A Beautiful Day for a Rainbow! Legion Street Pool hosted the 27th Annual Fish Out early this month. This collaborative event, organized each year by Johnson City’s Community Policing Division, brings together the Tennessee National Guard, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Parks & Recreation and many other groups and volunteers to transform the swimming pool into a fishing hole. Stocked to the brim with rainbow trout, over 1,000 people enjoyed fishing at the pool this year while many first time anglers got to experience the thrill of the catch! All of the fish caught were cleaned and put on ice for people to take home for dinner. Prizes were awarded, memories were made and new skills were learned at this year’s Fish Out.
