THE
SALISBURY Prize
The Salisbury Foundation is located in Hatfield, England. One of the four main symbols in the Hatfield coat of arms is the cross crosslet. The negative space of the cross crosslet is the shape of the logo.
The Salisbury Prize is represented by the negative space of the Salisbury Foundation logo. The negative space creates a triangle from the primary logo. The three sides of the triangle make it the strongest shape.
This represents the idea of journalism illuminating and bringing stories to life. It also resembles a page turning. The new wave of journalism.
Representing the prize only given to the strongest piece of journalism.
A contemporary logo with a nod to history.
