Fotografiska Fotografiska is one of the largest places for contemporary photography. It has four large unique exhibitions and about twenty smaller ones. There is a book and souvenir shop, as well as a café where you’ll find one of Stockholms best view points. The building was designed by Ferdinand Boberg, he also designed Rosenbad that is the Prime Ministers office and government offices. Since the opening in 2010 they have had photographers from Annie Leibovitz to Klara Källström. The restaurant has won an award and is known to use organic, locally and greens. Uppenbarelsekyrkan Uppenbarelsekyrkan (the Revelation Church) was built between 1959 and 1961, and opened in December 1961. It's a modern church, quite big, but the fact that it's not old doesn't mean it's not beautiful and worth visiting. To get light into the church, the concrete walls have different colored pieces of glass, creating shapes and biblical images. It makes the church look especially beautiful when the sun shines. The church works a lot with choir, for both adults and younger people. There are often concerts. Dates, times and eventual ticket costs can be found on the website, www.hägersten.org/kalender . It’s easy to get there by bus or subway and a short walk. Adress: Bäckvägen 34 126 47 Hägersten www.hägersten.org
ALBY The special thing about Alby is the people who lives there. The suburb is between two other places called Fittja and Hallunda. Alby belongs to Botkyrka municipality and has a big part of forest. In 1975 Alby had only 375 citizens but in the past years more and more inhabitants have arrived. Today 81 percent of all inhabitants are immigrants and that’s a good thing because now Alby is rich of culture. Many famous people are from Alby like Dogge Doggelito and Jimmy Durmaz and more. Why not do your shopping in Alby? Yes you heard it right, Alby centrum is home to many stores from food and restaurants to clothes for a good price too. If you like to exercise you can easily go to Botkyrkahalllen which provides many different possibilities all from soccer to running. So now why not take a trip to the friendliest suburb of all? You just take the train heading to Norsborg and you will be there in just twenty minutes.
Bredäng Bredäng is a suburb in the Southern part of Stockholm. The number of inhabitants is around 9981 and 65,5% of them have a foreign background. Bredäng was called Jakobsberg between year 1926 and 1956. Bredäng is bordering the neighborhoods Mälarhöjden and Sätra, you can go to Bredäng by subway or bus. If you want to go shopping there's a shopping center two metro stations away, in Skärholmen. Bredäng has a school called Bredängsskolan, they also have a library, swimmingpool, churches, a camping site and Bredäng is near the beach Mälaren in Mälarhöjdsbadet. I personally think that Bredäng is beautiful, but it's certain because I've lived there for eight years and it feels like I'm home and safe there. Almost everyone who lives there feels like a family to me.
Bred채ng
Bredäng is a place that is located in the south of Stockholm. Bredäng is bordering to the subway stations "Mälarhöjden" and "Sätra". The station was formed in year 1962 and before that the place belonged to Sätra that is next to Bredäng. The station is located on a 180 meter long viaduct over Bredäng’s Avenue along the Great Society path. The distance from the station Slussen which is the centre of Stockholm 9 kilometer. An old house , Villa Lyra, was a meeting place for many of the 1800s writers, in the summer of 1867 musicians and artists. It's still in the same place since the 1960s, named Confectionery Lyra. Between year 1963 and 1965 they started to build apartments in Bredäng and it continued with townhouses. The centre was formed year 1965 and today you can find a gym, library, supermarcets, swimming pool, a place for the young people, and different parks. The number of recidents in Bredäng is 9941and there are also famous people living in Bredäng, for example Ison and Fille. Ison Glasgow is from USA and he grew up in Bredäng , but Felipe Leiva Is from Chile and he grew up in Vårberg (a subway station close to Bredäng). The first time these boys met each other was in the basketball club JKS, in Bredäng, 1994. Their Swedish rap career began at a youth center in Skärholmen where they both wrote songs, and today they have made several albums together. Bredäng is a suburb and many of the people who live there are immigrants. If you would like to visit Bredäng you would see young people that are standing in the town centre together and most of them wear soft adidas clothes. Bredäng isn't a tourist place but people go there to camp because you can find a camping place there. The reason why I like Bredäng is because I grew up there, I have lived there since I was born. All my friends are there and everyone who is living there is like a family. When it's summer all the people goes to Mälarhöjdens swimming place that is a part of Bredäng. I think Bredäng is a special place because everyone know each other there, it's not like in the city of Stockholm. If you lived here you would understand that it's a so wonderful and nice place where you for example can see young people that playsfootball together etc. Some people think that Bredäng is a "mini ghetto" place and they think it's dangerous to be in Bredäng, but it's not, if you are nice to the people who live there, they will be nice to you. So yes, Bredäng is a Paradise, these words aren't lies, actually the place is very nice.
Skärholmen Skärholmen is a southwestern suburb about 20 minutes from central Stockholm with the metro. Most of the houses are apartment buildings built as a part of the million program project in the late 60’s and early 70’s, but there are villas too. The metro was extended to Skärholmen in 1968. There are also older manors from the 1700’s located in the Sätra forest which is a large nature reserve connecting the districts Vårberg, Skärholmen, Sätra and Bredäng to each other. The area is sparsely settled and is connected by roads and green parkways. But the suburb is probably most known for the large mall Skärholmen Centrum. Skärholmen Centrum was first opened as an outdoor mall in 1968 but went through major changes in the 80’s and in the 00’s when it was glassed. The mall was finished in 2008 and is now one of the biggest in Sweden. Skärholmen has a large ethnic diversity and over 81 percent of the population has foreign origins. The various cultures makes the district differ from other districts in Stockholm. Skärholmen lies in a great location close to beaches, nature, underground, shopping etc. To get to Skärholmen you take the red line towards Norsborg or go by bus.

King's Curve King's Curve is a central place next to Skärholmen, out in the suburb. It's mostly known by it's real name "Kungens kurva". You can do all kinds off things in ”Kings Curve”, everything from going to one off the big malls (there are 3 malls within walking range ) or going to IKEA, which has very cheap food and a large local with thousands of furniture. Or, you might just want to walk around the endless industries, full of stores. The IKEA in king's curve is actually the worlds biggest one. So if you are visiting Stockholm it's a must do to visit IKEA. The way ”King's Curve” got it's name is pretty funny. The former king Gustav V's chaffeur drove the king in a Cadillac, and it skidded of the road and ended up in a ditch. And that was when King's curve got it's name.
It's a very special place for me and many of my friends because when you go there, you feel free. You can decide where you want to go, and if your friend want's to go somewhere else, thats not a problem. There's enough room for everyone's musts in kings curve.
