Water games The ISH takes place every two years at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre. Where usually gifts or cars are exhibited the ISH shows how water and energy is flowing. At least 2,300 exhibitors on 250,000 sq. gather there. Most visitors are craftsmen in order to learn about the new features and changes, which are coming soon to the market. Therefore the ISH is in three thematic areas divided, which are: world of plumbing, ISH energy and ISH water.
We looked specifically at the WATER pure; because there are exhibitors with sustainable, design-oriented bathroom solutions present. Water is life – isn’t it? Have you thought of refurbishing your bath room? But what is there already new? For instant music under water! Listen and feel fine. At Kaldewei’s they had it and it was o longer sounding like a blatant transistor radio in a swimming pool in on of the oh-sohip resorts. As such the crowds that was quite large at their 550 sqm booth in order
to listen and see their tub "Shanghai" (with sound wave!). It really impressed you could feel the vibration of the music.
But some prefer to shower, for this Kaldewei had another novelty. The "Xetis" shower area has no visible trace, because this was discreetly moved behind the pretext.
And wherefrom comes the water? From the tap or shower of course. The plumbing experts showed their manning fold fittings. Mixers are probably indispensable, even space-saving. And Grohe offered even "Tailor Made Showering", because everything is possible virtually and some people probably showering just as long in the like laying gently in the tub. Grohe had incidentally a stand of 1.100 sqm, and we could explore and test the fittings for hours, without getting wet.
Toilets are also running with water. Don't worry, we will not go deeper into details and picked out the Danish manufacturer of WC-lids Pressalit. They really have a huge selection. Pressalit comes up with a new material (Polygiene) which is self-cleaning and destroys almost all of the bacteria within 24 hours. This is real sanitary.
All exhibitors at ISH which were aligned in 2013, were quite concerned on the topic of environment. Saving water was announced everywhere. In any case it was evident that the combination of living area and bathroom is the up-coming symbol of a luxurious style in living. Same has for sure it’s price, but we want to be clean!
