Affordable for students AUTUMN 2015
Turku Philharmonic Orchestra www.tfo.fi Student prices for the same day's normal-priced symphony concerts for 3 €! Enjoy a symphony concert at an affordable price by showing your student card: tickets for the same day's concert for 3 €, if you book a ticket in advance from 9 €! If you would like to enjoy concerts more often you have the option of affordable season tickets: the autumn 2015 Thursday series (8 concerts) 58 € for students (normally 134 €), the Friday series (7 concerts) for 50 € (norm. 118 €) or the deluxe series, which includes all of the autumn season's 14 concerts for the price of 95 € (norm. 220 €)! Autumn season tickets available until September 18th 2015. Tickets can be purchased at the Turku culture shop Ars Musica in the Concert Hall (Aninkaistenkatu 9, Mon–Fri 11 am–5 pm). Tickets also available through Lippupalvelu, www.lippupalvelu.fi.

Turku City Library www.turku.fi/library Centre for information, experiences and learning. The Turku Main Library is a new era library that cares for the needs of students and other citizens every day. The library provides everything for both study and recreation: study books, fiction, databases on various fields, wireless Internet connection and ample, well-lit spaces for study. You can look for and reserve material within libraries in several municipalities at one single address vaski.finna.fi. We also have a continuously expanding collection of e-books which can be borrowed via the web library. The world opens up for the student through hundreds of domestic and foreign newspapers in both paper and digital format. Through PressDisplay you can read newspapers even at home with the help of your library user ID and pin code. Through the combined library and culture card you can get information on cultural events in Turku, for example theatre and concert tickets at reduced prices.

The use of these facilities is especially affordable for students, as many places, including the Impivaara and Petrelius Swimming Halls and gyms, as well as the gyms at Kupittaa Sports Arena and Varissuo Ice Hall, all offer student discounts.
Good locations for outdoor sports Turku offers opportunities for outdoor sports in all seasons: jogging tracks, nature trails, skating rinks, ski tracks, cycle paths and swimming beaches. The 21 park gyms in Turku offer a fun way to work out outdoors.

NuortenTurku An information and guidance service point for those under 29, located in Ohjaamo (Yliopistonkatu 25 A 4th floor), which provides you information related to things like studying, searching for employment or housing, hobbies, international opportunities, as well as social and health care services.

Affordable recreation at Vimma!
Do you want to relax at a summer cottage, swim and go to the sauna? Are you organising a bachelor party, a wedding or some other kind of party?
The City of Turku rents out four beautiful camping areas and the cabins on them for a fair price. The camping areas include Vienola in Rym채ttyl채, Tippsund in Taivassalo and Ahtela in Sauvo, as well as the Nukkumajoki cabin in Inari. These facilities can be rented by youth organisations, associations and private persons. All camping areas are located in exceptionally beautiful locations, in the heart of nature and near water.
