This project also was to understand and plan a type system through the flow of stories, themes, and observation. From the beginning, this project I had to think a lot about the life of the fat people and their personality, and the ideal society they hope. And the biggest difficulty was how to show being overweight as a visual image because it can hurt obese people who are alienated from society. But through Lindy’s story, I could see that being overweight is just their appearance, and it does not mean the success or failure of something.
The design goal was to show the theme and concept through typograPhy and type setting throughout the book, and all the design elements, methods that appear in this book are connected through various formats and styles, colors and typefaces, and design philosophy even this bookdoes not have much of a glamor or grandeur, it has been made very honestly and pleasantlylike—the title of this book.

We are loosing something every day and knowing new things at the same time. We consume many things from memory, but on the contrary, we accept new things that are meaningless every day. I decided to ask myself questions, and I studied how they can be expressed positively or negatively as different meanings of each other.
The purpose of this project was to find and study new typography styles using the environment and objects around us. Primarily I observed how the type changes in a natural environment such as water and light, and interestingly, I was able to discover a whole new typeform. The goal of this project is to research and discover diverse mythologies and nurture a way to express new type styles. In addition, to deliver messages more effectively or visually, with the results of theses experiments. These new typeforms are also used as a visual language for the unique communication.

North Korea is one of the few communist nations in the world. They are constantly creating dictator through pass on power to one’s descendants, and these have created various problems such as war and nuclear issues, poverty and hunger, and human rights issues. In our society, many media around the world are reporting North Korea's problems, but in fact, many people still do not take these problems seriously.
The purpose of this project was to express my thoughts about the situations and topics that exist in our society in reactive typography in the new media environment. Through the topic of North Korea, I expressed various problems they have such as nuclear weapons, hunger, and human rights issues as the new media typography. Also, the goal of this project is to make people more aware of the problem through a stronger expression of visual language or graphic design methodology.

WEB TYPE SYSTEM For express serious issues such as poverty, dictatorship, and human right in new environment, I had to solve the response typography. In order to construct a more flexible type system, I used a grid system with more than 20 steps, and the web fonts with custom CSS to drive outline fonts.

A public library located in Alameda, California hosts live concerts every year, and in 2016 they have prepared the 8th concert. However, their designs and systems did not show the culture value of this concert. The postcard-like advertising they used did not seem appealing to people at all, and they did not seem to have the willpower to inform this concert.
The goal of this project was to recreate the design systems of their concert intuitively, based on visual literacy, for better design results. In this process, I created an overall design system such as their graphics system, typography system, image utilization plan, and also created more diverse deliverables such as a booklet, poster series, and website.

INSPIRATION For more clear visual language representation and literacy delivery, the overall direction needed to be established first. This mood board, which includes color, typography, layout showed way to the future direction of this concert design.

Most drivers who do not use bicycles have difficulties sharing the road with bicycles, and people who use bicycles think it is dangerous to ride a bicycle in a big city although it helps to get rid of the traffic congestion. This mobile app lets these people know how to share the road, and has a lot of features that bike users and car drivers can use with interest. This may be a small change, but it will do much more for the positive change of our society’s traffic culture than simply participating or using it.
The purpose of this project, which is called "m-together", is to inform the drivers who do not use bicycle s how to share the roads with bicycles to prevent accident and to increase bicycle user. Moreover, this project aims to further reduce traffic congestion and create a better traffic culture.

Houzz is a Home+Furnishing+Tech company founded in Palo Alto, California in 2009, and one of the fastest growing companies in Silicon Valley now. Founded by Aron and Adi, the company realized that it was difficultly to expand into a larger business area with their original brand design. So they conducted various brand case studies with several designers, and I became involved in the project as a graphic designer.
The project was to design DM(Direct Mail) and website banners for their large sale events in Spring 2017. The goal of the project was to extend beyond the simple sale format to the actual event area and anticipate the possibility of expanding their brand in the market.

Thanks to all of these people,
Just as everyone can not guess their future, I also never expected anything of the past two years that I've experienced during my life. Life here, in SF, was continuously practice and challenges everyday to me, but with the help of many people, I could have come to this day.
To my love-wife, Chammi who always supports me, and my dear families who always cheer me up and care about me in home far away, also my cat, Tom my best friend—I'd like to thanks, all of them. In addition, to our instructors of AAU Graphic Design, Mary, Phil, Hunter, Tim, Bob, Sandra. I appreciate the inspiration and all of passion that you guys gave me.
