FOUNDER Charmaine Ngobeni, Managing director of ContĂŠ Agency. She fuels the business, with fun innovative ideas that builds on to the companies culture. She happens to be a talented, driven Creative designer. Ngobeni studided at University of Johannesburg and transferred her credits to New York, where she completed her degree in Illustration and Digital Imagery from Parsons The New School of Design. Ngobeni has had the pleasure of Exhibiting her work twice in New York, and then again through her previous work as the Art Director of Conte Magazine. With the love of travel, she uses every opportunity to connect with Creatives globally and network with brands she can collaborate with as a way to grow the business.
THE PUBLICATION Conté-Africa is a fresh contemporary creative book aimed at developing and launching young emerging African Creatives Individuals across various sectors throughout the world. Through collaboration and Partnerships, we connect the selected Creatives with well establish Brands and Organisations looking for the services they provide. We’ve Partnered up with Global brands to generate the content in each annual book, giving consumers the most intriguing and diverse looks of the industry. Originally a French name meaning “a short tale of adventure”, this book is the perfect description for what the Agency does, by narrating the stories between the brands and the Creatives.
Conté-Africa Showcases all art consumed visually, this includes, Creative writing, Poetry, fine art, design, fashion, architecture, music and so forth. In 2015 The founder took the “Magazine” with same name to New York, In 2016 the Magazine launched on London, and in 2017 it launched in New York again. The Book is expected to be released in 2019 and launched in Johannesburg, Ghana, Los Angeles and New York. We look forward to adding to the current global revolutionaries worldwide.
