MOORPARK COLLEGE OVERVIEW Moorpark College was opened in 1967. Over the past five decades the college has grown tremendously to its current 150 acre campus which includes 15 academic buildings, a football & track stadium, athletic facilities, and an exotic animal compound/observatory. Moorpark College is consistently recognized as a premier Community College, in 2014 Moorpark College was voted the #4 Community College in the Nation. Moorpark College reported 18,350 registered students and Âą650 staff members (FY 2013-2014). The college offers four semesters: Fall/Spring, as well as Winter/Summer intersessions. Moorpark College is located immediately adjacent the Moorpark Campus Plaza (subject property). The large student/faculty population provide a steady customer pool for the shopping center tenants.
