Amref Health Africa (Italy) is a member of the Amref Health Africa family. With its headquarters in Nairobi, Amref Health Africa is the largest international health development organization based in Africa. The organisation currently implements over 140 programs across the continent, directly reaching over 12 million people in 35 African countries. In Kenya, Amref Health Africa is a key technical partner of the Ministries of Health. The backbone of the program is therefore the health sector, with interventions in the area of health system strengthening, promoting human resources for health and solutions in health financing. As part of the Amref Health Africa family, the Italian office currently supports the programme in Kilifi, Marsabit, Isiolo, Kiambu, West Pokot, Samburu, Nakuru and Kajiado counties.

AVSI is an international, non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in Italy in 1972. AVSI has always implemented development and humanitarian assistance programmes in many countries around the world thanks to its on-site management skills, qualified technical staff and innovative strategies in the fields of education, food security, health and nutrition, social protection, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, emergency and disaster response. All this to fulfill its mission: to create positive and lasting change in the lives of the most vulnerable individuals, families and communities by following the teachings of the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church. Covering a spectrum from humanitarian to long-term development programmes, AVSI has worked and is still working in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Eastern Europe to improve the lives of communities and people living in very difficult circumstances.
