Mombasa, Marsabit, Turkana, Nairobi Caritas Italiana is the pastoral body of the Italian Episcopal Conference promoting the value of charity. A value that for over 50 years has been witnessed by men and women of good will "in forms appropriate to the times and needs" (art.1 of the Statute): a charity that is not static, but follows the path of history and society.

Thanks to the witness of the value of charity, Caritas Italiana plays a pedagogical role in the integral development of human being, social justice and peace with a focus on the most vulnerable. Inspired by the Gospel, Caritas addresses the poor and the least, the excluded, who are rights bearers even before needs bearers, so to build a world based on justice and on fraternal love, in which no human being is left behind.
