The Congregation of the Brothers of the Christian Schools FSC - De La Salle Brothers - has been present in Kenya since 1958. In addition to their broad commitment to the mission of primary and secondary education, since the late 1950s they have developed new models and strategies to meet the local needs in rural and developing areas: from agriculture and animal husbandry, to vocational training, to alternative teaching methods. Over the decades the Brothers have remained faithful to their charism of educating poor children. In Kenya, the Brothers currently serve about 2,000 students of all levels, in fragile contexts and realities.
