EDITOR'S NOTE HEY CUTIES! As you can see, the theme for this months newsletter is under the sea! I was inspired by the design of the bag that we received at DCON 2019.
This month's newsletter is filled with a bunch of important information for upcoming events, as well as updates that all members should know about. I also included a quiz that you can take on page 8! If you send us an email or DM us through any of your social medias of the results you got on the quiz in this newsletter, you have the chance of entering a competition for a $20 Gift Card of YOUR CHOICE at the beginning of the next school year! More details will be announced in the next Club Meeting. As always, please contact me or anyone on the board for any feedback.

PRESIDENT'S LETTER WHAT'S UP KENTWOOD! Thank you for providing such a warm welcome into our 2019-2020 term! A couple of things I need to remind you about: SPRING SPORT ATHLETES there are morning meetings that start late enough where if you take a bus, you would make it! No excuses for missing meetings because you have practice after school. Same requirements still apply this season. SENIORS Senior cord applications are released April 1st and NEED to be turned in to Mr. White or Vivian Ma on April 15th. Any application due after April 15th will NOT be accepted. ALL MEMBERS Hours are officially due on May 20th to our Secretary, Amanda Aguzar (e-mail: amanda.aguzar@gmail.com) A few updates on service events: Joint Kentwood-Kentridge bonding is HAPPENING! April 19th, 5-7pm @ Kentridge Cafeteria. We are making no-sew t-shirt bags for Mary’s Place (women’s shelter).
All you need to do is bring an old t-shirt and show up and be ready to make new friends! We will give you 2 hours to attend! If you can’t make it, we will graciously give 1 hour for 2 old t-shirt donations! Only giving out max. 1 hour. Blood Drive is coming quickly folks! April 30th will be our seasonal blood drive! Use this as an opportunity to rack in hours! We offer 3 hours for those who donate and 30 minutes for every time you table at lunch. A link will be sent out containing the tabling schedule and a guide for how to table! If you chose to donate, sign up at your lunch from April 16-29! We only have a few more meetings left and I’m saddened that it’s going by so fast ): But rather than sitting around and watching it fly by, I plan on finishing this year off strong and I encourage you to do the same! Step out of your comfort zone with these last few months of school and continue to serve during the summer!

'WATER' WE UP TO? (WHAT ARE) This month, your new 2019-2020 board has been focusing on improving our members' experience in Key Club, as well as emphasizing the importance of service throughout our communities. The following pictures show you all the highlights of what we've been up to this month! This year marks Kentwood Key Club's 1st place win for the Non-Traditional Scrap book for the 4TH YEAR IN A ROW! The scrapbook group was led by Amanda and helped by: Serenity, Sarah, Justin, Martin, Zach, and Phillip. Along with the scrapbook, we also made Ribbon leis, flower crowns, and stickers that we sold during DCON 2019, we plan to win another scrapbook award and sell merchandise next year again!

Meridian Middle School Builders Club
A big shout out to our very own, Saeed and his little sister (president of Meridian's BC), who made this possible. Builders Club is a Middle School version of Key Club, and we hope we can do some service events with these 'lil cuties in the future.
kiwianis meetings! We've gone to a total of 3 Kiwanis meeting this month to talk about our goals and who we are! One of our biggest goals this year is to create better ties with the adults that make Key Club possible. Our new Kiwanis Advisor is Matt Skaggs. You should be seeing him around more at our meetings! TREASURER & FUNDRAISING HEAD UPDATES Hi everyone! Recently your Fundraising Head, Rebecca and I (Sarah), have been going through some ideas in regards to what we want to do for the year! We know we want to focus a lot on our district project, the thirst project, and also be able to donate different things to different charities or hospitals. We’re currently going to start on a car wash so look forward to that upcoming event! We also have been working on our sticker fundraiser, which we sold stickers for hydroflasks, stationary, and anything really. We’re still selling stickers but look forward to new designs related to not just DCON but general Key Club! Please look forward to the upcoming year and different fundraisers and events we will hold ❤
