President's Letter Hey keyuties, Hopefully you guys are reading this during Winter Break and enjoying yourselves! This month the club has been working on our scrapbook for DCON. If any of you have group pictures or even individual pictures of you doing community service please send them to us! Also, we will be having a Blanket Making Event coming up on January 11th that will take place at the Covington library. This is a super easy event to earn your 15 hours for the year so don't forget to bring a friend and some fleece! Every fleece you bring in equals to 3 hours. Lastly, we will be having our LTG elections on January 6th at the Fairwood library. If you guys have some time on your hands and would like to learn more about Key Club, come to this event dressed semi formally. Enjoy your break! See y'all soon!

Editor's Note What's Poppin' Key Club? As always, I had so much fun designing the newsletter. Winter has always been my favorite season, so this edition is EXTRA FESTIVEEEEE! The next few months are going to be filled with key club festivities, so make sure you bookmark the future event page for more details on that! Make sure you read page five for information about how you can win a prize for reading the newsletter! As we wrap 2018 up, I'd like to say that Kentwood Key Club has truly changed my life for the better. I've made so many friends and created so many memories! I can't wait for what 2019 has to offer us. That being said, I would like to give a special thank you to my cute club board, Mr. White and Justin! The endless support from the key club family is unmatched - Thank you!

Treasurer ‘Ello Kentwood Key-Clubbers, it’s your treasurer, Julie! I’m here with a little update on our club as well as some information on key club dues, how they work, and why they’re important. Currently our club has 111 members, making us one of the biggest clubs at KW WOOHOO! Although this is great news, unfortunately our club has faced a 50 member decline which is a 20% decline from last year’s membership. This is where I step in, hoping to further educate you, the members on your key club dues. Key Club dues are $18, $12.50 of which goes to the international and district level that provides resources for your officers, such as I, get proper training to work in your best interest. 07
Updates
The $5.50 remaining goes directly to Kentwood Key Club so that we can provide you with resources and opportunities to make the best of your Key Club experience. Paying your dues allows you to use Key Club as a resume builder and participate in things such as elections and DCON. Having friends in Key Club along with you is a great way to make a difference and create memories with old and new friends. I strongly encourage you to reach out and bring your friends to our meetings! Make 2019 your year and I’ll see you at our next meeting!
