Editor's Note

Hello! It's been a while since the last newsletter, so I apologize! If you didn't know, I've currently been in a CNA program, and it's taken quite a bit of my time. However, I did just graduate last week! So thank you for your patience and to everyone that has encouraged me to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse :) Lots of people have volunteered in November this year! If you haven't had the chance to volunteer at one of the events that KWKC advertises during the meetings, please do! We have a lot of fun doing community service. Invite your friends as well! They don't have to be in Key Club to participate. As always, if you have any feedback please don't hesitate to contact me! Enjoy reading!

In Love & Service,

Jhacinda Caoagdan

President's Letter What’s good Kentwood Key Club! It’s crazy to say that this is my last president’s letter of 2019. I don’t know about you but 2019 has certainly been a rollercoaster of events. The board started our term in March of 2019 and it’s unfathomable to see it more than halfway over. I am grateful for what Key Club has brought to me this year and I can’t wait to see what 2020 brings for myself and the members. Here are a couple recaps of Key Club since we last spoke: Interact, NHS and Key Club officers have worked tirelessly to plan our first INK event! We had plenty of food and fun workshops that allow people to get a better understanding of what INK is and how to get involved. Thank you to all of you who came to support. We will let you all know about any future events from INK. We also recently held elections and I’m proud to welcome your new President-Elect, Lauren Ma! I can’t wait to see what Lauren and her new officers do for Kentwood Key Club.

Our next meeting on December 16th will be cookie decorating! Come join us in decorating cookies for the Kentwood staff and enjoy some treats and holiday festivities. The board has recently decided on DCON attendees and will be releasing them shortly. Please be on the lookout if you applied! We also decided on our new 2020-2021 Fundraising Head, Lam Pham. Excited to see what he is planning for you all! LTG election meeting will be on January 11th at the Fairwood Library. Come for a better understanding about how Key Club works and to see who you will be Division 32’s LTG. To wrap up, I’m ecstatic for 2020 and I hope you all are too. There are many good things coming, so buckle in Kentwood Key Club! I only have a few more months of my term and the board and I will ensure to make these few moments last.

In Love & Service,

Julie Ngo

2020 President's Address Hey KWKC Key-uties! For those members that are new, I’m Lauren, your past webmaster and incoming president for 2020-2021! To start, I want to y’all to know how much I’m anticipating this upcoming year for our club. I am so excited to serve alongside my new board and make this year the best experience possible for our members! I hope to get to know every one of you personally and build connections to expand our Key Club family. As I begin my new term, I have many plans that I’m going to be implementing into our system for the best interest of our club. Things we can look forward to: -reinvigorating our KWKC social media -Make a Key Club Snapchat account for updated meeting reminders (Remind app will still be in place) -Have optional service events at afternoon meetings about once a month! These allow you to gain community service hours by staying after meetings! -Continue short biweekly meetings to accommodate sports and other activities I promise to what I need in order to bring the full potential out of you guys! I want us to build strong leadership skills and increase our engagement in giving back to the community through service. With that said, I hope you’re as excited and motivated as I am to make this the best year yet (:

In Love & Service,

Lauren Ma
