President's Letter

Hi guys!

A few updates for September and October! We had an amazing first meeting and we saw lots of new faces. The board is super excited to work with everyone and to do service projects together this year. This month we are working on Trick or Treat for UNICEF and the Blood Drive that will be taking place on November 1st. Please contact me if any of you are interested in donating blood or helping table during lunches. We are also still working on making meetings more interesting for our members. If there are any suggestions, please contact one of the board members because we could use any advice to help improve our club. Also, we have the Seattle Marathon coming up sometime in November. There are various shifts like course monitor, sign in and coat check. Please check our PowerPoints for more information on how to sign up for this event. Stay Toasty!

With Love and Service,

E d I t o r ' S N o t e

Trick - or - Treat! I'm super excited to get this newsletter out! I worked on this newsletter extra long and got a bit stressed... Nonetheless, I had a bunch of fun making it - this theme is one of my favorites so far. That being said, be sure to make some time for yo' self and relax, it's easy to get stressed with having to get situated back into school and such! September and October has been filled with spook-tacular events, so make sure you check all our social medias, emails, and text reminders to keep up! As always, if you have any feedback about the newsletters please don't hesitate to talk to me. (I promise I don't bite)

With Love and Service,

Jhacinda Caoagdan 2018 - 19 KWKC Editor

Key club uses a bunch of acronyms to shorten words/names, plus it just sounds cooler! Here are some frequently used acronyms that you should know about : DCM - Divisional Council Meeting: DCMs are monthly meetings (social gatherings and/or service events) usually held by the LTG where all the clubs around the district get together & have fun! (see page 7 for this year's October DCM info)

LTG - Lieutenant Governor:

Basically your district's "god" The liaison between district, division, and region. They guide club presidents and helps out with everything key club related! Justin Englund is the Lieutenant Governor of District 32. We love him.

your LTG

DCON - District Convention: An annual convention held for key clubbers all over the area. It's usually 3 days long of celebrating PNW key club's accomplishments and to elect new people for the district board! The Pacific North West DCON will be held in Seattle, Washington next year! Make sure to keep up with DCON registration requirements soon if you plan to attend!
