VANESSA CHAPLOG KW EDGE, PRETORIA EAST Three and a half years ago, Vanessa Chaplog was a content stay-at-home mom who was committed to raising her two boys and creating a balanced family life whilst still managing to pursue her favourite hobby – horse riding! Reluctantly, she tagged along when her husband, Brian Chaplog, was invited as a guest speaker at Family Reunion 2016 in Swaziland. With no real estate experience (or interest for that matter), Vanessa could never have imagined that the conference would be such a life-changing experience. The culture, vibe and energy that Keller Williams brought, immediately resonated with her and she didn't want to miss out on any of the sessions. She joined the company but felt overwhelmed at times and felt like running away from the new challenge that was presented 22

to her. It was only when attending Mega Camp 2016 in Austin with her OP, Riaan van Deventer, and colleagues, that Vanessa got the inspiration and motivation from the super-successful agents and teams on stage to become a mega agent herself. She thought that if they could do it, so could she - and it was well within her reach with the training and support offered by KW. Whenever she stops for a minute to reflect on her (very) short career in real estate, Vanessa is left breathless: she capped after two years and hired her first assistant after only 2,5 half years in the industry and her 2nd administrator shortly after. This hire created a snowball effect that led to unprecedented growth and the hiring of her first buyer's agent to keep up with the leads generated by her admin team. Shortly after, she had to appoint another buyer's agent, and within 5 months Team Chaplog has capped; exceeded their GCI goal of R1.1m and achieved more than R30m in sales volume. Vanessa would like to credit her MAPS Coach, Tara Smith for providing clarity and accountability; and to thank her OP, Riaan for drilling the No. 1 KW principal into her - "list, list, list and the sales will happen". Vanessa and her team are very excited about the future and is focussed on having a 7th level business within the next 12 months. "KW has completely changed my life and the life of my family", says Vanessa, "it is not what you get at KW, it is what you become!"
